“All things manifesting in the lower worlds exist first in
the intangible rings of the upper spheres,
so that creation is, in truth,
the process of making tangible the intangible
by extending the intangible into various vibratory rates.”

Here is what's new

Yeah I know its been 3 years since I've posted anything new. I burnt out from everything I was putting into this. and tbh what made me come back was the fact that even after 3 years this is still popular. I can't thank you enough for your continued support.

So what's new well I have a new address and with covid I've had a bit of free time. so maybe its time I got back into the captains chair and got to setting a course to places undiscovered. A part of me is happy while a part isn't because he know what's up and he doesn't like doing the hard long hours of labor.

Of the Forgotten Generations of Man

And was not Man created from the blood of KINGU
Commander of the hordes of the Ancient Ones?
Does not man possess in his spirit
The sees of rebellion against the Elder Gods?
And the blood of Man is the Blood of Vengeance
And the blood of Man is the Spirit of Vengeance
And the Power of Man is the Power of the Ancient Ones
And this is the Covenant
For, lo! The Elder Gods possess the Sign
By which the Powers of the Ancient Ones are turned back
But Man possesses the Sign
And the Number
And the Shape
To summon the Blood of his Parents.

And this is the Covenant
Created by the Elder Gods
From the Blood of the Ancient Ones
Man is the Key by which
The Gate if IAK SAKKAK may be flung wide
By which the Ancient Ones
Seek their Vengeance
Upon the face of the Earth
Against the Offspring of MARDUK.

For what is new
Came from that which is old
And what is old
Shall replace that which is new
And once again the Ancient Ones
Shall rule upon the face of the Earth!
And this is too the Covenant!

Of the Generations of the Ancient Ones

UTUKK XUL
The account of the generations
Of the Ancient Ones here rendered
Of the generations of the Ancient Ones
Here remembered.
Cold and Rain that erode all things
They are the Evil Spirits
In the creation of ANU spawned
Plague Gods
PAZUZU
And the Beloved Sons of ENG
The Offspring of NINNKIGAL
Rending in pieces on high Bringing destruction below
They are Children of the Underworld
Loudly roaring on high
Gibbering loathsomely below
They are the bitter venom of the Gods.

The great storms directed from heaven
Those are they
The Owl, Messenger of UGGI
Lord of Death
Those they are
THEY ARE THE CHILDREN
BORN OF EARTH
THAT IN THE CREATION
OF ANU WERE SPAWNED.

The highest walls
The thickest walls
The strongest walls
Like a flood they pass
From house to house
They ravage
No door can shut them out
No bolt can turn them back
Through the door like snakes they slide
Through the bolts like winds they blow
Pulling the wife from the embrace of the husband
Snatching the child from the loins of man
Banishing the man from his home, his land
THEY ARE THE BURNING PAIN
THAT PRESSETH ITSELF ON THE BACK OF MAN.

THEY ARE GHOULS
The spirit of the harlot that hath died in the streets
The spirit of the woman that hath died in childbirth
The spirit of the woman that hath dies, weeping with a babe at the breast
The spirit of an evil man
One that haunteth the streets
Or one that haunteth the bed.

They are Seven!
Seven are they!
Those Seven were born in the Mountains of MASHU
Called Magick
They dwell within the Caverns of the Earth
Amid the desolate places of the Earth they live
Amid the places between
The Places
Unknown in heaven and in earth
They are arrayed in terror
Among the Elder Gods there is no knowledge of them
They have no name
Not in heaven
Nor on earth
They ride over the Mountain of Sunset
And on the Mountain of Dawn they cry
Through the Caverns of the Earth they creep
Amid the desolate places of the Earth they lie
Nowhere are they known
Not in heaven
Nor in the Earth
Are they discovered
For their place is outside our place
And between the angles of the Earth
They lie in wait
Crouching for the Sacrifice
THEY ARE THEY CHILDREN OF THE UNDERWORLD.

Falling like rain from the sky
Issuing like mist from the earth
Doors do not stop them
Bolts do not stop them
They glide in at the doors like serpents
They enter by the windows like the wind
IDPA they are, entering by the head
NAMTAR they are, entering by the heart
UTUK they are, entering by the brow
ALAL they are, entering by the chest
GIGIM they are, seizing the bowels
TELAL they are, grasping the hand
URUKU they are, giant Larvae, feeding on the Blood

They are Seven!
Seven are They!
They seize all the towers
From UR to NIPPUR
Yet UR knows them not
Yet NIPPUR does not know them
They have brought down the mighty
Of all the mighty Cities of man
Yet man knows them not
Yes the Cities do not know them
They have struck down the forests of the East
And have flooded the Lands of the West
Yet the East knows them not
Yet the West does not know them
They are a hand grasping at the neck
Yet the neck does not know them
And man knows them not.

Their words are Unwritten
Their numbers are Unknown
Their shapes are all Shapes
Their habitations
The desolate places where their Rites are performed
Their habitations
The haunts of man where a sacrifice has been offered
Their habitations
The lands here
And cities here
And the lands between the lands
The cities between the cities
In spaces no man has ever walked
In KURNUDE
The country from whence no traveller returns
At EKURBAD
In the altar of the Temple of the Dead
And at GI UMUNA
At their Mother's breast
At the Foundations of CHAOS
In the ARALIYA of MUMMU-TIAMAT
And at the Gates
Of IAK SAKKAK!

SPIRIT OF THE AIR, REMEMBER!
SPIRIT OF THE EARTH, REMEMBER!

THE MAGAN TEXT

Hearken, and Remember!
In the Name of ANU, Remember!
In the Name of ENLIL, Remember!
In the Name of ENKI, Remember!
When on High the Heavens had not been named,
The Earth had not been named,
And Naught existed but the Seas of ABSU,
The Ancient One,
And MUMMU TIAMAT, the Ancient One
Who bore them all,
Their Waters as One Water.
At this time, before the ELDER GODS had been brought forth,
Uncalled by Name,
Their destinies unknown and undetermined,
Then it was that the Gods were formed within the Ancient Ones.
LLMU and LLAAMU were brought forth and called by Name,
And for Ages they grew in age and bearing.
ANSHAR and KISHAR were brought forth,
And brought forth ANU
Who begat NUDIMMUD, Our Master ENKI,
Who has no rival among the Gods.
Remember!
The Elder Ones came together
They disturbed TIAMAT, the Ancient One, as they surged back and forth.
Yea, they troubled the belly of TIAMAT
By their Rebellion in the abode of Heaven.
ABSU could not lessen their clamour
TIAMAT was speechless at their ways.
Their doings were loathsome unto the Ancient Ones.

ABSU rose up to slay the Elder Gods by stealth.
With magick charm and spell ABSU fought,
But was slain by the sorcery of the Elder Gods.
And it was their first victory.
His body was lain in an empty Space
In a crevice of the heavens
Hid
He was lain,
But his blood cried out to the Abode of Heaven.

TIAMAT
Enraged
Filled with an Evil Motion
Said
Let us make Monsters
That they may go out and do battle
Against these Sons of Iniquity
The murderous offspring who have destroyed
A God.

HUBUR arose, She who fashioneth all things,
And possessor of Magick like unto Our Master.
She added matchless weapons to the arsenals of the Ancient Ones,
She bore Monster-Serpents
Sharp of tooth, long of fang,
She filled their bodies with venom for blood
Roaring dragons she has clothed with Terror
Has crowned them with Halos, making them as Gods,
So that he who beholds them shall perish
And, that, with their bodies reared up
None might turn them back.

She summoned the Viper, the Dragon, and the Winged Bull,
The Great Lion, the Mad-God, and the Scorpion-Man.
Mighty rabid Demons, Feathered-Serpents, the Horse-Man,
Bearing weapons that spare no
Fearless in Battle,
Charmed with the spells of ancient sorcery,
. . . withal Eleven of this kind she brought forth
With KINGU as Leader of the Minions.

Remember!

ENKI
Our Master
Fearing defeat, summoned his Son
MARDUK
Summoned his Son
The Son of Magick
Told him the Secret Name
The Secret Number
The Secret Shape
Whereby he might do battle
With the Ancient Horde
And be victorious.

MARDUK KURIOS!
Brightest Star among the Stars
Strongest God among the Gods
Son of Magick and the Sword
Child of Wisdom and the Word
Knower of the Secret Name
Knower of the Secret Number
Knower of the Secret Shape
He armed himself with the Disc of Power
In chariots of Fire he went forth
With a shouting Voice he called the Spell
With a Blazing Flame he filled his Body
Dragons, Vipers, all fell down
Lions, Horse-Men, all were slain.

The Mighty creatures of HUBUR were slain
The Spells, the Charms, the Sorcery were broken.
Naught but TIAMAT remained.
The Great Serpent, the Enormous Worm
The Snake with iron teeth
The Snake with sharpened claw
The Snake with Eyes of Death,
She lunged at MARDUK
With a roar
With a curse
She lunged.

MARDUK struck with the Disc of Power
Blinded TIAMAT's Eyes of Death
The Monster heaved and raised its back
Struck forth in all directions
Spitting ancient words of Power
Screamed the ancient incantations
MARDUK struck again and blew
An Evil Wind into her body
Which filled the raging, wicked Serpent
MARDUK shot between her jaws
The Charmed arrow of ENKI's Magick
MARDUK struck again and severed
The head of TIAMAT from its body.

And all was silent.

Remember!

MARDUK
Victor
Took the Tablets of Destiny
Unbidden
Hung them around his neck.
Acclaimed of the Elder Gods was he.
First among the Elder Ones was he.
He split the sundered TIAMAT in twain
And fashioned the heavens and the earth,
With a Gate to keep the Ancient Ones Without.
With a Gate whose Key is hid forever
Save to the Sons of MARDUK
Save to the Followers of Our Master
ENKI
First in Magick among the Gods.

From the Blood of KINGU he fashioned Man.
He constructed Watchtowers for the Elder Gods
Fixing their astral bodies as constellations
That they may watch the Gate of ABSU
The Gate of TIAMAT they watch
The Gate of KINGU they oversee
The Gate whose Guardian is IAK SAKKAK they bind.

All the Elder Powers resist
The Force of Ancient Artistry
The Magick Spell of the Oldest Ones
The Incantation of the Primal Power
The Mountain KUR, the Serpent God
The Mountain MASHU, that of Magick
The Dead KUTULU, Dead but Dreaming
TIAMAT, Dead but Dreaming
ABSU, KINGU, Dead but Dreaming
And shall their generation come again?

WE ARE THE LOST ONES
From a Time before Time
From a Land beyond the Stars
From the Age when ANU walked the earth
In company of Bright Angels.
We have survived the first War
Between the Powers of the Gods
And have seen the wrath of the Ancient Ones
Dark Angels
Vent upon the Earth
WE ARE FROM A RACE BEYOND THE WANDERERS OF NIGHT.

We have survived the Age when ABSU ruled the Earth
And the Power destroyed out generations.
We have survived on tops of mountains
And beneath the feet of mountains
And have spoken with the Scorpions
In allegiance and were betrayed.
And TIAMAT has promised us nevermore to attack
With water and with wind.
But the Gods are forgetful.
Beneath the Seas of NAR MATTARU
Beneath the Seas of the Earth, NAR MATTARU
Beneath the World lays sleeping
The God of Anger, Dead but Dreaming
The God of CUTHALU, Dead but Dreaming!
The Lord of KUR, calm but thunderous!
The One-Eyes Sword, cold but burning!

He who awakens Him calls the ancient
Vengeance of the Elder Ones
The Seven Glorious Gods
of the Seven Glorious Cities
Upon himself and upon the World
And old vengeance . . .

Know that our years are the years of War
And our days are measured as battles
And every hour is a Life
Lost to the Outside
Those from Without
Have builded up charnel houses
To nourish the fiends of TIAMAT
And the Blood of the weakest here
Is libation unto TIAMAT
Queen of the Ghouls
Wreaker of Pain
And to invoke her
The Red Water of Life
Need be split on a stone
The stone struck with a sword
That hath slain eleven men
Sacrifices to HUBUR
So that the Strike ringeth out
And call TIAMAT from Her slumber
From her sleep in the Caverns
Of the Earth.

And none may dare entreat further
For to invoke Death is to utter
The final prayer.

OF THE LIGHT, AND OF THE FIRE

IT hath been ever the custom among all nations to use fire and light in sacred things. For this reason the Master of the Art should also employ them in sacred rites, and besides those for reading the Conjurations by, and for the incense, in all operations Lights are necessary in the Circle.

For this reason he should make candles of virgin wax in the day and hour of Mercury; the wicks should have been made by a young girl; and the Candles should be made when the moon is in her increase, of the weight of half a pound each, and on them thou shalt engrave these characters with the Dagger, or the Burin of Art. (See Figure 84.)

After this thou shalt repeat over the Candles, Psalms cli.; ciii.; cvii., and shalt say:--

O Lord God, Who governest all things by Thine Almighty Power, give unto me, a poor sinner, understanding and knowledge to do only that which is agreeable unto Thee; grant unto me to fear, adore, love, praise, and give thanks unto Thee with true and sincere faith and perfect charity. Grant, O Lord, before I die, and descend into the realms beneath, and before the fiery flame shall devour me, that Thy Grace may not leave me, O Lord of my Soul. Amen.

After this thou shalt add:--

I exorcise thee, O Creature of wax, by Him Who alone hath created all things by His Word, and by the virtue of Him Who is pure truth, that thou cast out from thee every Phantasm, Perversion, and Deceit of the Enemy, and may the Virtue and Power of God enter into thee, so that thou mayest give us light, and chase far from us all fear or terror.

After this thou shalt sprinkle them with the Water of the Art, and incense them with the usual perfumes.

And when thou shalt wish to kindle them thou shalt say:--

I exorcise thee, O Creature of Fire, in the Name of the Sovereign and Eternal Lord, by His Ineffable Name, which is YOD, HE, VAU, HE; by the Name IAH; and by the Name of Power EL; that thou mayest enlighten the heart of all the Spirits which we shall call unto this Circle, so that they may appear before us without fraud and deceit through Him Who hath created all things.

Then thou shalt take a square Lantern, with panes of Crystal glass, and thou shalt fit therein the Candle lighted, to read by, to form the Circle, or any other purpose for which thou shalt require it.

OF THE WATER, AND OF THE HYSSOP

IF it be necessary to sprinkle with water anything required in the Art it should be clone with a Sprinkler.

Prepare a Censer in the day and hour of Mercury, with the odoriferous Spices of the Art. After this thou shalt take a vessel of brass, of lead varnished within and without, or of earth, which thou shalt fill with most clear spring water, and thou shalt have salt, and say these words over the salt:--
TZABAOTHI MESSIACH, EMANUEL, ELOHIM GIBOR, YOD HE VAU HE; O God, Who art the Truth and the Life, deign to bless and sanctify this Creature of Salt, to serve unto us for help, protection, and assistance in this Art, experiment, and operation, and may it be a succour unto us.
After this cast the salt into the vessel wherein is the Water, and say the following Psalms: cii.; liv.; vi.; lxvii.

Thou shalt then make unto thyself a Sprinkler of vervain, fennel, lavender, sage, valerian, mint, garden-basil, rosemary, and hyssop, gathered in the day and hour of Mercury, the moon being in her increase. Bind together these herbs with a thread spun by a young maiden, and engrave upon the handle on the one side the characters shown in Figure 82, and on the other side those given in Figure 83.

After this thou wayest use the Water, using the Sprinkler whenever it is necessary; and know that wheresoever thou shalt sprinkle this Water, it will chase away all Phantoms, and they shall be unable to hinder or annoy any. With this same Water thou shalt make all the preparations of the Art.

OF THE EXPERIMENT OF INVISIBILITY, AND HOW IT SHOULD BE PERFORMED

IF thou wishest to perform the Experiment of Invisibility, thou shalt follow the instructions for the same. If it be necessary to observe the day and the hour, thou shalt do as is said in their Chapters. But if thou needest not observe the day and the hour as marked in the Chapter thereon, thou shalt do as taught in the Chapter which precedeth it. If in the course of the experiment it be necessary to write anything, it should be done as is described in the Chapters pertaining thereto, with the proper pen, paper, and ink, or blood. But if the matter is to be accomplished by invocation, before thy conjurations, thou shalt say devoutly in thine heart:--

SCEABOLES, ARBARON, ELOHI, ELIMIGITH, HERENOBULCULE, METHE, BALUTH, TIMAYAL, VILLAQUIEL, TEVENI, YEVIE, FERETE, BACUHABA, GUVARIN; through Him by Whom ye have empire and power over men, ye must accomplish this work so that I may go and remain invisible.

And if it be necessary in this operation to trace a Circle, thou shalt do as is ordained in the Chapter concerning Circles; and if it be necessary to write characters, etc., thou shalt follow the instructions given in the respective Chapters.

This operation being thus prepared, if there be an especial Conjuration to perform, thou shalt repeat it in the proper manner; if not, thou shalt say the general Conjuration, at the end of which thou shalt add the following words:--

O thou ALMIRAS, Master of Invisibility, with thy Ministers CHEROG, MAITOR, TANGEDEM, TRANSIDIM, SUVANTOS, ABELAIOS, BORED, BELAMITH, CASTUMI, DABUEL; I conjure ye by Him Who maketh Earth and Heaven to tremble, Who is seated upon the Throne of His Majesty, that this operation may be perfectly accomplished according to my will, so that at whatsoever time it may please me, I may be able to be invisible.

I conjure thee anew, O ALMIRAS, Chief of Invisibility, both thee and thy Ministers, by Him through Whom all things have their being, and by SATURIEL, HARCHIEL, DANIEL, BENIEL, ASSIMONEM, that thou immediately comest hither with all thy Ministers, and achievest this operation, as thou knowest it ought to be accomplished, and that by the same operation thou render me invisible, so that none may be able to see me.

In order then to accomplish this aforesaid operation, thou must prepare all things necessary with requisite care and diligence, and put them in practice with all the general and particular ceremonies laid down for these experiments; and with all the conditions contained in our first and second Books. Thou shalt also in the same operations duly repeat the appropriate Conjurations, with all the solcmnitie marked in the respective Chapters. Thus shalt thou accomplish the experiment surely and without hindrance, and thus shalt thou find it true.

But, on the contrary, if thou lettest any of these things escape thee, or if thou despiseth them, never shalt thou be able to arrive at thy proposed end; as, for example, we enter not easily into a fenced city over its walls but through its gates.

HOW TO RENDER ONESELF INVISIBLE

Make a small image of yellow wax, in the form of a man, in the month January and in the day and hour of Saturn, and at that time write with a needle above the crown of its head and upon its skull which thou shalt have adroitly raised, the character following. (See Figure 5.) After which thou shalt replace the skull in proper position. Thou shalt then write upon a small strip of the skin of a frog or toad which thou shalt have killed, the following words and characters. (See Figure 6.) Thou shalt then go and suspend the said figure by one of thy hairs from the vault of a cavern at the hour of midnight, and perfuming it with the proper incense thou shalt say:--

METATRON, MELEKH, BEROTH, NOTH, VENIBBETH, MACH, and all ye, I conjure thee, O Figure of wax, by the Living God, that by the virtue of these Characters and words, thou render me invisible, wherever I may bear thee with me. Amen.

And after having sensed it anew, thou shalt bury it in the same place in a small deal box, and every time that thou wishest to pass or enter into any place without being seen, thou shalt say these words, bearing the aforesaid figure in thy left pocket:--

Come unto me and never quit me whatsoever I shall go.

Afterwards thou shalt take it carefully back unto the before-mentioned place and cover it with earth until thou shalt need it again.

OF THE EXPERIMENT CONCERNING THINGS STOLEN, AND HOW IT SHOULD BE PERFORMED

My beloved Son, if thou findest any Theft, thou shalt do as is hereinafter ordained, and with the help of God thou shalt find that which hath been taken away.

If the hours and days be not otherwise ordained in this operation, thou must refer to what hath already been said. But before commencing any operation whatsoever for the recovery of things stolen, after having made all necessary preparations, thou shalt say the following Oration:--

THE ORATION

Ateh Adonai Elohim Asher Ha-Shamain Ve-Ha-Aretz, etc.

Thou, O Lord, Who hast made both Heaven and Earth, and hast measured them in the hollow of Thy hand; Thou Who art seated upon the Kerubim and the Seraphim, in the high places, where unto human understanding cannot penetrate; Thou Who hast created all things by Thine agency, in Whose Presence are the Living Creatures, of which four are marvelously volatile, which have six wings, and who incessantly cry aloud: 'QADOSCH, QADOSCH, QADOSCH, ADONAI ELOHIM TZABAOTH, Heaven and Earth are full of Thy glory'; O Lord God, Thou Who hast expelled Adam from the Terrestrial Paradise, and Who hast placed the Kerubim to guard the Tree of Life, Thou art the Lord Who alone doest wonders; show forth I pray Thee Thy Great Mercy, by the Holy City of Jerusalem, by Thy wonderful Name of four letters which are YOD, HE, VAU, HE, and by Thy Holy and Admirable Name, give unto me the power and virtue to enable me to accomplish this experiment, and to come unto the desired end of this operation; through Thee Who art Life, and unto Whom Life belongeth unto the eternal ages. Amen.

After this perfume and cense the place with good scents and sweet odours. This aforesaid place should be pure, clean, safe from interruption or disturbance, and proper to the work, as we shall hereafter show. Then sprinkle the aforesaid place with consecrated Water, as is laid down in the Chapter concerning Circles.

The Operation being in such wise prepared, thou shalt rehearse the Conjuration necessary for this experiment, at the end of which Thou shalt say as follows:--

O Almighty Father and Lord, Who regardest the Heavens, the Earth, and the Abyss, mercifully grant unto me by Thy Holy Name written with four letters, YOD, HE, VAU, HE, that by this exorcism I may obtain virtue, Thou Who art IAH, IAH, IAH, grant that by Thy power these Spirits may discover that which we require and which we hope to find, and may they show and declare unto us the persons who have committed the theft, and where they are to be found.

I conjure ye anew, ye Spirits above named, by all the aforesaid Names, through which all things created tremble, that ye show openly unto me (or unto this child here present with us) those things which we seek.

These things being accomplished they will make thee to see plainly that which thou seekest. Take note that the Exorcist, or Master of the Art, should be such as is ordained in the Chapter concerning the Exorcist and his Companions; and if in this experiment it should be necessary to write down characters or Names, thou shalt do that which it is necessary to observe regarding the pen, ink, and paper, as is duly prescribed in the Chapters concerning them.

For if thou dost not regard these things, thou wilt neither accomplish that which thou desirest, nor arrive at thy desired end.

HOW TO KNOW WHO HAS COMMITTED A THEFT

Take a Sieve and suspend it by a piece of cord wherewith a man has been hung, which should be fastened round the circumference of the rim. Within the rim write with blood in the four divisions thereof the characters given in Figure 4. After this take a basin of brass perfectly clean which thou shalt fill with water from a fountain, and having pronounced these words: DIES MIES YES-CHET BENE DONE FET DONNIMA METEMAUZ, make the sieve spin round with thy left hand, and at the same time turn with thy right hand the water in the basin in a contrary direction, by stirring it with a twig of green laurel. When the water becometh still and the sieve no longer whirls, gaze fixedly into the water, and thou shalt see the form of him who hath committed the theft; and in order that thou mayest the more easily recognise him, thou shalt mark him in some part of his face with the Magical Sword of Art; for that sign which thou shalt have cut therewith in the water, shall be really found thereafter upon his own person.

THE MANNER OF CAUSING THE SIEVE TO TURN, THAT THOU MAYEST KNOW WHO HAS COMMITTED THE THEFT

Take a Sieve and stick into the outside of the rim the open points of a pair of scissors, and having rested the rings of the said opened scissors on the thumb-nails of two persons, let one of them say the following Prayer:--

PRAYER

DIES MIES YES-CHET BENE DONE FET DONNIMA METEMAUZ; O Lord, Who liberatedst the holy Susanna from a false accusation of crime; O Lord, Who liberatedst the holy Thekla; O Lord, Who rescuedst the holy Daniel from the den of lions, and the Three Children from the burning fiery furnace, free the innocent and reveal the guilty.

After this let him or her pronounce aloud the names and surnames of all the persons living in the house where the theft hast been committed, who may be suspected of having stolen the things in question, saying:--

'By Saint Peter and Saint Paul, such a person hath not done this thing.'

And let the other reply

'By Saint Peter and Saint Paul, he (or she) hath not done it.'

Let this be repeated thrice for each person named and suspected, and it is certain that on naming the person who hath committed the theft or done the crime, the sieve will turn of itself without its being able to stop it, and by this thou shalt know the evil doer.

How to Use Black Magic for Wealth

Spells from the art of black magic can be used to do amazing things, in a range of different areas of your life. Whether you are looking for help with your romantic relationships, your career, or you just need black magic for money and wealth, black magic spells can help.

Black magic (also known as black magick) makes a lot of people skeptical, and there are probably plenty of good reasons for most people to doubt its true powers. Unlike more “real” methods for growing wealth, magic cannot be easily seen or noticed by the average person. However, if you feel depressed because you are just going nowhere with your life, you can use the powers of the unseen to bring some joy and happiness back into your life.

Is Black Magic Evil?

Another reason that so many people try and stay away from this branch of magic is that the name scares them. Black magic is often associated with “dark powers” and evil practices that go against the natural good that is within all of us. Well, you should put those fears to rest immediately, because there is no evil to be found here.

Why Is It Called Black Magic?

You probably want to know where the “black” part of the name comes into play, if there is no evil aspect to black magic. This type of power is used to control the “blackness”, the evil, the things that make your life difficult. You can remove those dark clouds from your own life and start to finally be happy and succeed. You can remove curses, hexes, bad energies, and jinxes when you use some simple black magic spells.

Does Black Magic for Money Really Make People Happy?

You might think that using spells to gain more money is a little far away from making yourself happy. Well, think about how often having too little money has made your life difficult. Sure, money cannot make people happy by itself, but the things that money can buy, and the problems it can remove – can certainly bring a lot of happiness.

Black Magic for Wealth

This is a simple money spell that anyone can do, and you don’t need to have any experience with magic at all. Firstly, you will need to get a few things, but they are easy to find: a green candle, some coins, a lodestone (or just an ordinary magnet), and a sheet of paper. Once you have these things together, you’ll need a safe spot to store them; make it somewhere you know they will not be disturbed. For the traditional version, you will need incense or scented oils, but those are more of a showy thing that you can avoid if you like.

Put four of your coins on a tray or plate, in the corners. Now, take your piece of paper and write on it, with red ink, your name at least a few times. If you wish, you can say a little prayer, or a short statement that will help you to focus, as well as playing a photograph of your choosing, or a lock of hair.

Take your candle and carve these words into the wax: "Money Stay With Me" . Now, light that candle and say a prayer, or make a vowel, that you are going to save money, so that your money grows.

The invocation of the Lord of the Air

THE INVOCATION

As I am commanded, ""Speak unto the Air and I will remove all pretense of Spirit from them,"" of The Most High (Audience of the New Moon, 20 August 2009 – 1 Elul 5769):

I, El Aku ALIHA ASUR HIGH, Lord of Lords and Second of the Great Four Horsemen; by the Righteous Powers and Holy Authorities of My Holy Office of Anointed Messiah of this Generation of Ish, I command my own Akurians: To the front, clear the area, and spare nothing or anyone. I summon Lord Immanuel Joshua ben Joseph ben Nazaratti, the First Horseman, and I command: To the rear, clear the area, spare nothing or anyone to protect that flank. I summon Lord Ra Amon Horus El Kayops, the Third Horseman, and I command: To my right, clear the area, spare nothing or anyone to protect that flank. I summon Lord Ammeliet Hammerlin, the Fourth Horseman, and I command: To my left, clear the area, spare nothing or anyone to protect that flank. Take charge of your areas and declare it a battle zone. There will be neither insurgents nor spectators and there are no excuses.

Celestial Beings, Angels, Demons, and Elemental Spirits.

From the most heavenly of spirits to the monsters of the of the great abyss.

These entities can all be summoned to do your bidding or answer your questions. Take warning to heart. These creatures are very powerful and you could end up doing your self more harm than good.

~WARNING!~ This information is for educational purposes only! I do not suggest that you attempt to do any of the following. This is not a detailed set of instructions. This is a basic outline of certain things that are needed and performed. This is simply and example, nothing more.

When a magician gets started he usually performs the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (Invoking version at the beginning and the banishing at the end of the ritual), and the Middle Pillar Ritual. These are the most important things he would do in order to protect himself from these Beings.

Remember the attitude he gets from a spirit depends on the type of spirit he would so choose to conjure up!

In this example the Sorcerer would conjure the Spirit

"VAU-AEL". He is the spirit who will give thee all kinds of pleasant visions. He will serve you well in all that you wish to know. This spirit is taken from "the Grimoire of Armadel".

In this example we would be conjuring this spirit on to the astral plane and not onto this physical plane. We would be able to see the spirit by gazing into the black mirror within the Triangle of the Solomon. He puts on his robe and lights the incense and the candles. He then sits in the middle of the magic circle.

Here is the sigil of the entity...

 Seal of "VAU-AEL

"Holding the Sigil of the spirit in your hands gaze into it and repeat the name of the spirit over and over for at least 10 min. Then gaze into the black mirror (or crystal ball) and concentrate while reciting the following...

I evoke and conjure thee, O spirit "VAU-AEL" by the Supreme Majesty - the true God who is known by the names of YOD HEH VAV HEH (yod-heh-vahv-heh), ADONAI (ah-doe-ney), EHEIEH (eh-hey-yay), and AGLA (ah-gah-lah) to appear before me in this mirror (or crystal ball) in a fair and comely shape.Continue to gaze into the mirror until the image of the entity becomes clear to see. When you can see the entity then ask it "what is thy name?"

If it gives the correct answer then ask it to sign its name in the space surrounding it. If the spirit turns out to be someone else then you can ask it to leave or ask what its purpose of coming before you. If it is the correct spirit then you must welcome it by saying...

In peace I welcome you, O spirit "VAU-AEL",and in the name of the Most High I command you to stay within this mirror until you are dismissed, to speak honestly and to answer all questions truthfully that I put before you.

Now you may ask the questions that you wish to put before him. Make sure that you are polite and not rude in any way, for you must treat these spiritual beings with the total respect. You may also command it do do certain tasks for you, but if you ask it to do things that might harm someone then you will at sometime suffer the penalties of KARMA. What goes around comes around. You don't want to have something bad come around and bite you in the ass now do you? Try to do only good tasks and things of a positive nature!

Once you are done with the spirit, you must license him to depart. Take note that you must give this dismissal even if the entity does not show itself, for it could actually be there and you not know it and then you would have a spirit hanging around you which could be your demise. Here is the dismissal...

Go in peace and return to your sphere of origin, O Spirit "VAU-AEL" by the authority of the True God, I command thee to harm none as you depart, and to be ready to come quickly if called upon again.*You will also want to do the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and the Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram! This is a Must!

*This ritual can be used to conjure Celestial, Demonic, Elemental, or Angelic entities to do your bidding.

Afterwards you would need to write down everything that happened in your experience. You would need to keep a journal of all these events and what took place. You will want to memorize these conjuration's and not have to read them off a card.

You will also need to make sure that you pronounce all the sacred names of God correctly in your invocations, and once again do nothing to harm anyone in your magical rites. Even if you are conjuring a demon you can still command them to do good for you. Peace be with you.

MASKELLI MASKELLÔ PhNOUNKENTABAÔTh OREOBAZAGRA RÊXIChThÔN HIPPOChThÔN PYRPÊGANYX MORMORON TOKOUMBAI

The second invocation introduces the first voces magicae of the spell. Missing from the Betz translation are the half-stop(•) punctuation marks that divide the first string into two sets; upon further examination these sets are thematically grouped.

Phorbas and its cognates(i.e. Phorba, Phorbe, Phorbantia, etc.) appear frequently in the PGM and in many spells directly related to Hekate. The root meaning of this word is tied to the bounty of the earth and particularly with pastures, fodder and grazing animals. Sophocles used the term φορβας γαια (“bountiful earth”) while describing the healing, fecund and nurturing properties of the land; and it has also been used as a metaphor for prostitution. Given the bovine nature of the word βου, BOUORPhORBÊ may mean something along the lines of “bountiful-cow” or “nurturing-cow”, while PANPhORBA could translate as “all-nurturer.” The dual meaning of phorbas as ‘nurturing’ and ‘prostitute’ along with the epithets of “virgin” and “maiden” speak to the paradoxical themes of maiden-mother and virgin-whore. These dichotomies are very interesting and resonate with the the near-eastern goddesses of Ishtar, Inanna and Astarte; while – of course – conjuring images of the Thelemic Babalon.

The second set of voces magicae is a triad of names Aktiophis-Ereschigal-Neboutosoualêth that appear frequently in magical literature. Aktiophis is one of the “many names” of Hekate and according to Hopfner it is also an epithet of Selene. The roots of the name are ακτις (“ray” or “beam”) and οφις (“serpent”). Ereschigal is the Babylonian underworld deity who is frequently identified with Hekate as in PGM LXX. 4-25 where Hekate-Ereschigal is invoked with the Ephesia grammata of the Idaen Dactyls – to which we will return shortly. Lastly, the name Neboutosoualêth has unclear origins but is likely related to the Babylonian god of wisdom and writing Nebo, whom the Greeks equated with Hermes. Together, Ereschigal-Nebo may have represented a pseudo-Babylonian interpretation of the frequent Hekate-Hermes pairing in the magical literature.

The reference to “the gates” also deserves mention. Here Hekate “stands besides” them and is also the “gate-breaker.” In the first invocation, Hekate is identified as she “who parts the adamantine gates.” These are none other than the πυλαι Αιδαο, the adamantine gates to the underworld described by Homer and others separating the world of the living from the realm of the dead. Hekate is the gatekeeper of this threshold – not only having the power to open this gate but also to break its boundaries and therefore bring forth the spirits of dead into the world of the living. She arrises from the liminal depths together with “those who have untimely perished and those heroes who have died wifeless and childless, whose souls hiss wildly with yearning hearts.” These are her “fire-breathing phantoms”, her legions of underworld spirits, ancestral heroes, and the restless dead…spirits that are intimately linked to the necromantic, goetic and magical practices of antiquity.

This invocation segment fittingly ends with the Maskelli Masellô formula. Betz attempted to translate portions of the formula so that ῤηξιχθων is rendered as “who burst forth from the earth” and ἲπποχθων as “earth mare.” Both epithets speak to the underlying theme of Hekate as an ancestral “giantess” and leader of chthonic spirits. As we discussed previously, the Maskelli Maskello formula is intimately linked to Hekate and to the goetic practices of the Idaean Dactyls.

¤ The Third Invocation ¤

– PGM IV.2765 – 2784

THENÔB TITHELÊB ÊNÔR TENTHÊNÔR. Many-named One, KYZALEOUSA PAZAOUS. Wherefore, KALLIDÊCHMA and PSAB of unresting burning fire and Orion and Michael seated above. You who hold power over the seven waters and the earth, summoner of the great serpent

AKRODÊRE MOUISRÔ CHARCHAR ADÔNAI, ZEU DÊ DAMNAMENEU, KYNOBI ON EZAGRA .

IÔ all-dominator and IÔ all-protector.IÔ one all-nurturer. ZÊLACHNA and SAAD SABIÔTHE NOUMILLON NATHOMEINA always KEINÊTH, brave THÊSEUS ONYX, prudent DAMNAMENEUS, avenging web-spinning goddess, Mistress of the dead (Nekuia), Persia, SEBARA AKRA.

This third invocation is by far the most complex. It contains various unique and unprecedented voces magicae and seemingly out of nowhere we find elements of the Abrahamic tradition with the archangel Michael and later the Hebrew god-name Adonai. Needless to say, such inclusions in magical texts speak to the early polytheistic roots of the Semitic religion whose divine figures could exist and be employed side by side with Greek, Egyptian and Babylonian gods.

Orion is also called forth by name, but here we find a clear connection to Artemis who is conflated with Hekate throughout this spell and several others in the PGM. A common motif in Greek mythology was Orion, the ancestral giant and great hunter, becoming the lover of the goddess of the hunt who was responsible for both his death and his immortalization amongst the stars. The hero-cult of Orion was widespread throughout the Grecian mainland of Boeotia and the inclusion of his name in a Hekate invocation speaks to her role as that liminal gatekeeper and intermediary between the living and the ancestral mighty dead.

There is one entity that is called forth here and appears to be the primary focus of this segment of the spell. This is the “great serpent.” No other animal on earth is as universally endowed with the powerful and evocative symbolism of the serpent. Since our remote prehistoric past, snakes were associated with the mysteries of life and death; and were naturally adopted by many cultures as totems for the magical, oracular and healing arts. From the practices of household shrines to the local and regional temples of the ancient mediterranean, serpents were understood as the emissaries to the underworld and the preferred form taken by the ancestors and the oracular spirits of dead heroes. Atop this rich symbolism, the serpent of this spell is the given the epithet of μεγαν indicating not just a creature of large size, but more than likely a specific entity of great mythological importance.

The Betz edition translates the line έπτἀ ύδάτων κρατεῖς καἰ γῆς, κατέχων, ὂν καλέουσι δράκοντα μέγαν as “you hold the seven waters and the earth, keeping in check the one they call the great serpent.” He translates καλέουσι twice and uses it to modify the beginning and end of the line as both “hold” and “keeping in check.” Additionally, καλέουσι is frequently used in the magical papyri to denote a summoning or invocation. A more literal translation is thus “the seven waters and the earth, master over, summoner of the great serpent”…similar meaning, but read as such it identifies Hekate as the one with the power to invoke – not just restrain – this “great serpent.”

The voces magicae that follow invoke and shed light on the identity of this serpent. AKRODÊRE is a combined form of the formula AKROUROBORE KODÊRE that appear throughout the magical papyri. The meaning of AKROUROBORE is “eater of the tip of your tail”, a reference to the Ouroboros and giving us an immediate symbolic form for this “great serpent.”  MOUISRÔ is also a partial formula. The full formula is SERPOT MOUISRÔ as it appears in PDM xiv and in the Leyden Papyrus. Griffith and Thompson suggest that this is a phonetic spelling of Egyptian Srp.t m3y sr (“Lotus, Lion, Ram”) – a reference to the daily path of the sun from rise to noon to set as Re-Khepri-Atum. This daily motion of the sun speaks to the same principle of cyclic time and the perpetual rhythms of life and death embodied by the Ouroboros serpent. The word CHARCHAR resonates with numerous sounds from the 100-letter name of the Typhon and other voces magicaeused in spells calling upon him. As we have discussed in prior posts, the Typhon of the PGM is more aligned to the primordial serpents of the Orphic-Pythagorean traditions than to the demonized monster of olympic mythology. This Graeco-Egyptian Typhon is described as a demiurge as well as a martial and storm god and shares much in common with the Semitic ADÔNAI and the Greek ZEUS. DAMNAMENEUS is the name of one of the Dactyls and forms part of the inscribed Ephesia Grammata on the cult image of Artemis in Ephesus.  KYNOBIOUEZAGRA, is obscure. In Preisendanz it appears as three words KYNOBI OU EZAGRA. The only other instances of words with similar sounds in the PGM is Oreobazagra and its variants (i.e. Aôrio zagra, etc.) of the Maskelli Maskello formula.

The epithets “all-dominator”, “all-protector”, and “all-nurturer” resonate with the Phorba and cognates of the second invocation examined earlier. More importantly; however, the sequence Ἰὠ πασικράτεια καἰ Ἰὠ πασιμεδέουσα · Ἰὠ παντρεφέουσα appears almost verbatim on the bronze Pergamon triangular tablet that depicts Hekate with the epithets of Διὠνη´, ᾽Φοιβίη´, and ´Νυχίη´. This tablet was undoubtedly part of a magician’s toolkit and it is believed to have functioned as a manifestation base either for invoking spirits or animating objects.

It is very likely that this portion of the spell is rather incomplete and has undergone changes and additions over time. The truncated formulae suggest this as do the inclusions of other divine names with no precedent (i.e. THENÔB TITHELÊB ÊNÔR TENTHÊNÔR). Indeed, Betz notes that the lines 2764-2784 “retain some traces of hexameters, but only the last line comes close to being a complete line.” In this last segment Hekate is never invoked directly, there are only indirect references to her via the epithets Nekuiaand Persia. I suppose that one could even claim that this final passage is predominately an invocation to the “great serpent” – not Hekate – and is thus out of place in the greater context of this spell.

However, throughout the PGM Hekate is identified as a serpent (drakaina) and encircled by serpents (zônodrakontis, opheoôplokamos, etc.). She is paradoxically called forth as goddess of life (pantrephô, paggennêteira, etc.) and of death (i.e. nekuia, etc).[26] Her connection to the Ouroboros serpent is quite apparent both symbolically and literally – one of her epithets is in fact aôroboros (‘devourer of the prematurely dead’) linking the two linguistically as well. Intimately linked to this “great serpent” and many other aspects of serpent symbolism, Hekate asserts her role as the quintessential goddess of liminality and the mediator to that primordial and ancestral power that governs the rhythms of nature and the cycles of life and death.

There is also a common magical technique to consider here. Invocations such as the Stele of Jeu (PGM V. 96-172) and the Invocation of Typhon from PGM IV. 154-285 reach a magical crescendo when the ritualist self-identifies with the target of the invocation and speaks as that deity. This ritual apotheosis heralds the moment at which the practitioner wields the necessary authority to manifest their desire – whether to call forth a spirit to appear or to successfully cast a spell. I believe that the invocation of this serpent power via the AKRODÊRE string of voces magicae, with all its deep symbolism of earth-energy, time, life and death marks this moment. The practitioner identifies Hekate as the one with “power over the seven waters and the earth, summoner of the great serpent” and then proceeds to self-identify with the goddess by themselves becoming the “summoner of the great serpent” and reciting the AKRODÊRE invocation.

Acquiring a Supernatural Assistant - Papyri Graecae Magicae

Pnouthios to Keryx, a god[-fearing man], greetings. As one who knows, I have prescribed for you [this spell for acquiring an assistant] to prevent your failing / as you carry out [this rite]. After detaching all the prescriptions [bequeathed to us in] countless books, [one out of all. . .] I have shown you this spell for acquiring an assistant [as one that is serviceable] to you . . . for you to take this holy [assistant] and only . . . O friend of aerial / spirits [that move]. . .having persuaded me with god-given spells . . . but [not] I have dispatched this book so that you may learn thoroughly. For the spell of Pnouthis [has the power] to persuade the gods and all [the goddesses]. And [I shall write] you from it about [acquiring] an assistant.

[The] traditional rite [for acquiring an assistant]: After the preliminary purifications, / [abstain from animal food] and from all uncleanliness and, on whatever [night] you want to, go [up] onto a lofty roof after you have clothed yourself in a pure garment . . . [and say] the first spell of encounter as the sun's orb is disappearing . . . with a [wholly] black Isis band on [your eyes], and in your right hand / grasp a falcon's head [and . . . ] when the sun rises, hail it as you shake its head [and] . . . recite this sacred spell as you burn [uncut] frankincense and pure rose oil, making the sacrifice [in an earthen] censer on ashes from the [plant] heliotrope. And as you recite the spell there will be / this sign for you: a falcon will [fly down and] stand in front of [you], and after flapping its wings in [mid-air and dropping] an oblong stone, it will immediately take flight and [ascend] to heaven. [You] should pick up this stone; carve it at once [and engrave it later]. Once it has been engraved, bore a hole in it, pass a thread through and wear it around your neck. But in the evening, / go up to [your] housetop [again] and, facing the light of the goddess, ad dress to her this [hymnic spell] as you again sacrifice myrrh troglitis in the same fashion. Light [a fire] and hold a branch of myrtle . . . shaking it, [and salute] the goddess.

At once there will be a sign for you like this: [A blazing star] will descend and come to a stop in the middle / of the housetop, and when the star [has dissolved] before your eyes, you will behold the angel whom you have summoned and who has been sent [to you], and you will quickly learn the decisions of the gods. but do not be afraid: [approach] the god and, taking his right hand, kiss him and say these words to the angel, for he will quickly respond to you about whatever you want. But you / adjure him with this [oath] that he meet you and remain inseparable and that he not [keep silent or] disobey in any way. But when he has with certainty accepted this oath of yours, take the god by the hand and leap down, [and] after bringing him [into] the narrow room where you reside, [sit him] down. After first preparing the house / in a fitting manner and providing al types of foods and Mendesian wine, set these before the god, with an uncorrupted boy serving and maintaining silence until the [angel] departs. And you address preliminary (?) words to the god; “I shall have you as a friendly assistant, a beneficent god who serves me whenever I say, `Quickly, by your / power now appear on earth to me, yea verily, god!”'

And while reclining, you yourself quickly speak about what you propose. Test this oath of the god on [what] you wish. But when 3 hours have passed, the god will immediately leap up. Order the boy to run [to] the door. And say, “Go, lord, blessed god, / where you live eternally, as you will,” and the god vanishes.

This is the sacred rite for acquiring an assistant. It is acknowledged that he is a god; he is an aerial spirit which you have seen. If you give him a command, straightway he performs the task: he sends dreams, he brings women, men without the use of magical material, he kills, he destroys, he stirs up winds from the earth, he carries / gold, silver, bronze, and he gives them to you whenever the need arises. And he frees from bonds a person chained in prison, he opens doors, he causes invisibility so that no one can see you at all, he is a bringer of fire, he brings water, wine, bread and [whatever] you wish in the way of foods: olive oil, vinegar — with the single exception of fish–and he will bring plenty of vegetables, / whatever kind you wish, but as for pork, you must not ever tell him to bring this at all! And when you want to give a [dinner], tell him so. Conjure up in your mind any suitable room and order him to prepare it for a banquet quickly and without delay. At once he will bestow chambers with golden ceilings, and you will see their walls covered with marble — and you consider these things partly real / and partly just illusionary — and costly wine, as is meet to cap a dinner splendidly. He will quickly bring daimons, and for you he will adorn these servants with sashes. These things he does quickly. And [as soon as] you order [him] to perform a service, he will do so, and you will see him excelling in other things: He stops ships and [again] / releases them, he stops very many evil [daimons], he checks wild beasts and will quickly break the teeth of fierce reptiles, he puts dogs to sleep and renders them voiceless. He changes into whatever form [of beast] you want: one that flies, swims, a quadruped, a reptile. He will carry you [into] the air, and again hurl you into the billows / of the sea's current and into the waves of the sea; he will quickly freeze rivers and seas and in such a way that you can run over them firmly, as you want. And [especially] will he stop, if ever you wish it, the sea-runnning foam, and whenever you wish to bring down stars and whenever you wish to make [warm things] cold and cold things / warm, he will light lamps and extinguish them again. And he will shake walls and [cause] them to blaze with fire; he will serve you suitably for [whatever] you have in mind, O [blessed] initiate of the sacred magic, and will accomplish it for you, this most powerful assistant, who is also the only lord of the air. And the gods will agree to everything, for without him / nothing happens. Share this great mystery with no one [else], but conceal it, by Helios, since you have been deemed worthy by the lord [god].

And this is spoken next: “Hither to me, King, [I call you] God of Gods, might, boundless, un defiled, indescribably, firmly established Aion. / Be inseparable from me from this day forth through all the time of my life.”

Then question him by the same oaths. If he tells you his name, take him by the hand, descend and have him recline as I have said above, setting before him part of the / foods and drinks which you partake of. And when you release him, sacrifice to him after his departure what is prescribed and pour a wine offering, and in this way you will be a friend of the mighty angel. When you go abroad, he will go abroad with you; when you are destitute, he will give you money. He will tell you what things will happen both when and ad what time of the night or day. And if / anyone asks you “What do I have in mind?” or “What has happened to me?” or even “What is going to happen?,” question the angel, and he will tell you in silence. But you speak to the one who questions you as if from yourself. When you are dead, he will wrap [up] your body as befits a god, but he will take your spirit and carry it into the air with him. / For no aerial spirit which is joined with a mighty assistant will go into Hades, for to him all things are subject. Whenever you wish to do something, speak his name alone into the air [and] say, [“Come!”] and you will see him actually standing near you. And say to him, “Perform this task,” and he does it at once, and after doing it he will say to you, “What else do you want? For I am eager for heaven.” If you do not / have immediate orders, say to him, “Go, lord,” and he will depart. In this fashion, then, the god will be seen by you alone, nor will anyone ever hear the sound of his speaking, just you yourself alone. And he will tell you about the illness of a man, whether he will live or die, even on what day and at what hour of night. / And he will also give [you both] wild herbs and the power to cure, and you will be [worshipped] as a god since you have a god as a friend. These things the mighty assistant will perform competently. Therefore share these things with no one except [your] legitimate son alone when he asks you for the magic powers imparted [by] us. Farewell.

The address to the sun / requires nothing except the formula “IAEOBAPHRENEMOUN” and the formula “IARBATHA.”

Ancient Lady of Upper Egypt,
Wearer of the White Crown,
Great White Cow of Nekhb,
Wife of the rolling Nile river,
Vulture Goddess whose outstretched wings
Hover over the royal child,
Protecting him from harm, seeing him safe to adulthood,
Help us to know what it is to eat rot
And turn it again into nourishment,
Cleaning and purifying the earth
With the transmuting power of our bodies.
Lady who protects the rulers, the crowned ones,
Protect those of us
Who must take on responsibility
And whose hands work for the lives of many.
Nourish them with your attention
That they may not burn out like a candle.
Guide them with your wisdom
That they may always remember
The nourishment of their people,
Of the body, the mind, the soul.
Protect the sleeping infant child of our hopes
And goals, and future,
And see it safely to fruition.
Spread your wings over us, O Nekhebet,
And may your watch keep us ever safe.

Invocation to Selket

Lady of the Scorpion's Whip,
Implacable one, hardest of the Four Deaths,
Sun of the unforgiving desert at high noon,
You blast down upon all wrongdoing
And show those wrongs in their true light.
Lady of the Poison Tail,
You are entrusted with those souls
Who have not done what they should do,
Who have spurned the path they were meant to walk,
Who have struggled and lashed out,
Who have caused hurt and pain to others.
Your firm hand takes them in, guides them
To see what they have done through eyes
Unclouded by their own pain,
And leads them to a place of understanding
And perhaps repentance. And yet,
There is something of this is all of us,
Some part of each that needs your guiding hand
Lest we think ourselves too perfect
And become uncompassionate in our pride.
Lady of the Scorpion's Whip,
Sting us to the heart, and show us
That poison still within us,
That we may better learn to ride its strike,
That we may better learn to heal its wounds.

(Each comes forward, one at a time, and touches the tail of the Scorpion, which should be sharp. Each tells Selket, aloud or silently, where the poison is in them which makes them hurt others, and asks for her help in controlling it.)

Invocation to Thoth

Hail, God of the Papyrus!
Lord of Words
Lord of Symbols
Scholar and lawyer
Inventor and scientist
Player of the sacred flute
Master of the Papyrus
Speaker of the sacred Nun,
The word that invokes the Universe,
You who understand the value of an education
Let us remember the day when
We opened a book
And touched the understanding
Of another soul across time.
Teach us that to write
Can be to fly through that veil of time
To a future we will not live to see
And a past that will never be again.
Healer of both Horus and Set,
Teach us that help need not be personal
But can be offered to friend and enemy alike.
Tell us that the Moon is not inconstant
But waxes and wanes each month
Exactly on time.

Chant: Nun (repeat Thoth's sacred word over and over, in multiplying harmonies)

(Each comes forward and takes a scroll from the altar. If it bears words of wisdom, they should take it to heart. If it is blank, they should write their quote upon it and return it to the pile.)

Calendar of the Sun The 29th of Blutmonath Sekhmet's Day

Offerings: Meat. Blood. Wrestle with the Beast Within.
Daily Meal: Beer. Meat from a hoofed animal. Barley.

Invocation to Sekhmet

Long, long ago, Ra Lord of the Sun
Was wroth with the people of the earth,
For their disrespect and their carelessness,
And his anger was so great
That he called forth into existence
The lioness goddess Sekhmet
As a manifestation of his wrath,
And he set her upon the people,
Intending her to eat a few of them
And teach them all a lesson.
And Sekhmet leaped upon them,
But she did not stop her destruction,
And after three days she had killed so many
That Ra begged her to stop, regretting his error,
But she refused, saying that there would be no end
To her appetite for blood and death.
So Ra had beer dyed red as blood, and spread it
Over the field of carnage, and she drank,
And fell asleep, and was enspelled.
And so we hail Sekhmet, for within each of us
Is the beast of wrath whom we must propitiate,
And never let run wild, lest it slay
All that we hold dear. Hail Sekhmet!
(All respond: "Hail Sekhmet!" )
Be merciful to us, we who cower
In your shadow, and feel your footprints within us.

(All respond: "Have mercy upon us!"

And may your hunting be plentiful,
And all your days bright with sun.

(All respond: "Hail Queen of the Desert Sun!" Then the red beer is poured as a libation, and the torches are carried outside, where they are left to burn out.)

Calendar of the Sun The 28th of Lithemonath Ptah's Day

Colors: Brown and tan; desert colors.
Element: Earth
Altar: Upon cloth of desert colors place a bowl of frankincense and the figure of a mummy, surrounded by many clay bricks and many hand tools.
Offerings: Build something. The day's work should be entirely shaped around construction of some kind, which all should take part in to the best of their ability. It is a good day to begin major construction projects.
Daily Meal: Simple workman's sandwiches, eaten while working. Beer.

Invocation to Ptah

Lord of Stone
Lord of Brick
Lord of Tile
Lord of Wood
Planner and builder
Of homes for the living
And tombs for the dead,
You who built the firmament
And raised it high above
For whom all things are a project
To be constructed in glory
Aid me in building
This life of mine
Sturdy and strong
With skillful hands.

(All shout "Hail!", and come forth to take tools from the table and go off to work. Like the previous day, any singing or chanting should happen during work, which should be done in teams.)
