“All things manifesting in the lower worlds exist first in
the intangible rings of the upper spheres,
so that creation is, in truth,
the process of making tangible the intangible
by extending the intangible into various vibratory rates.”

10 Divination Tools for Scrying

Tarot Cards

Tarot Cards are most likely one of the most well-known divination tools and extremely popular for the budding psychics of the modern age. They began as a card game in medieval Europe, particularly in France. However, during the eighteenth century, these cards transitioned into a way to foretell the future to those skilled enough to know the meaning written in the cards. While they seem complicated at first, any beginner's deck generally comes with a small book for a basic introduction. These pamphlets will not only tell you the methods to arrange the cards while asking a question but will also tell you the meaning of each card, which is of vital importance when learning how to use the cards for predicting the future. Many decks have been developed since tarot has been used for divination. Until you know how to properly use the cards, you might want to stay with a standard or simplified deck that is composed of the traditional seventy-eight cards.

I Ching Divining Coins

I Ching Divination is a very old method for predicting the future. It first arose in China as a way for the sages of ancient China to provide divinely informed consultation to the wealthy and nobles. The earliest evidence of this practice comes from roughly 2700BC. The fact that it has survived this long gives credit to its usefulness in seeing into the time yet to come. There are actually two tools for two different I Ching methods—the yarrow sticks or stalks method and coins. Coins were generally only used by the wealthy during the early years of this technique because they had access to the money. However, coins are considered to be far easier to use than yarrow sticks since it requires less tediousness. This I Ching coin method still takes time as you compose a hexagram using the numbers accumulated from the tossing of your coins—heads indicating yang for three points and tails for yin for two points.

Runes

Runes began as a writing system for Germanic languages before the adoption of the Latin alphabet. However, early evidence suggests that they were utilized for reasons of magic in addition to their practical writing uses—particularly in medieval times when “victory runes” were carved into swords either in the blade or hilt. Runes are relatively new to the uses of divination magic though, having only been used this way since the beginning of the twentieth century. The runes are printed, drawn, or engraved individually onto tiles. Wood is the preferred medium of the tiles since it comes from the living spirits of trees. The runes are then drawn from a pouch and laid out to resemble the technique of tarot or tossed into the air and allowed to freely land like I Ching coins. Most people prefer to make their own rune set as it leads to more accurate results.

Spirit Boards

Spirit boards, also known as Ouija or talking boards, have been seen in numerous cultures over the ages—including 1100BC in China and 540BC in Greece. Even though it has these historic starts, the late nineteenth century and the whole of the twentieth century tried to turn it into a toy to be used by children at slumber parties. However, the rise in the legitimate uses of a spirit board to seek out unknown answers and predictions on the future have been taking place recently. The board itself consists of a standard alphabet and the numbers zero through nine with several boards including several quick phrases such as “yes,” “no,” and “farewell.” A user simply has to have one of these boards and its accompanying planchette to communicate with beings of the spirit world. However, inexperienced users need to be advised that possession has been known to occur by drawing in evil spirits. Beware.

Crystal Balls

A psychic hovering over a crystal ball in a dimly lit room is one of the most common visions a person thinks about when considering how to see into the future. The use of crystals in divination can be seen as far back in time as the Druids of early Britain. Crystal balls themselves are popular as the crystal part of them is considered to heighten an individual's psychic awareness while the ball allows for an easy way to look for answers without having to learn complicated methods or techniques. For someone just beginning to learn the art of divination or scrying, which is when images given are interpreted for meaningful information, crystal balls are quite useful. It is best to pick out a crystal ball in person though as opposed to over the internet as a crystal is a very personal object. Some people prefer crystals without any imperfections for sterility while others think no coloring or clouding means it is lifeless. If picking up a particular crystal does not feel significant in your heart or spirit, it is probably not the right one for you. Meditation while holding your crystal ball in a calm, quiet setting before looking for images is absolutely necessary if you want real information as opposed to nothing or useless pictures.

Scrying Mirrors

Scrying is basically just a word to describe seeing psychically for divination purposes. One does this through many possible mediums. Scrying mirrors are very common ways to receive images this way. The key is that the surface one looks into is flat, meaning a completely flat mirror instead of a curved ball so that the images are direct instead of skewed. This divination practice is one of the most widely accepted, spanning time, geography, and beliefs. To this day people still practice such rituals as looking into a mirror in a dark room on Halloween to see the face of a future spouse. Having your own special mirror to use for scrying though will purify the act into being something that you can practice daily with this object and this object alone as opposed to using it to brush your teeth and tell the future.

Pendulums

While most people think pendulums are simply used to moderate the seconds in a grandfather clock, the act of using a weight suspended at the end of a chain to point out simple answers on a flat mat or piece of paper has been around for much longer. Many times the end of the chain is connected to some type of hook or handle to keep a person's subconscious from influencing the answer pointed to by the pendant, crystal, or simple weight located at the opposite end of the chain that hovers over what most refer to as a pendulum circle—a circle with yes, no, and maybe written around its edges. Pendulums are best with specific questions since their answers are so simple. Before using the pendulum each time though you must purify it. Dipping your weight of choice in salt water or wafting the smoke of burning sage all around your pendulum are the two most preferred methods of purification.

Tea Cups

The act of drinking a cup of un-strained tea then reading symbols, shapes, or images shown in the remaining dregs is a widely known practice of divination. Some people even like to use coffee grounds or wine sediment for the same techniques. A simple tea cup and tea leaves rather than modern bags can provide a person a way to divine the future without any big frills or difficult techniques. However, sometimes the images can be representative of symbols—meaning that if you read your own cup a working knowledge of standard symbolism (like a mountain for a hindered journey or a snake for falsehood) is very helpful. Also, specialized fortune teller cups have been created that have interior images in the cup to help with the divining with tea leaves. The most three common types of these specialized cups are playing card cups, zodiac cups, and individualized symbol cups.

Dowsing Rods

Dowsing rods are used for a specific type of divination—finding things or places—more so than forecasting the future or seeing future events. The most common types of dowsing rods are used to find metal or ore deposits, gemstones, oil, ground water, or even grave sites. A dowsing rod itself is a L-shaped or Y-shaped twig or rod. The most common is a Y-shaped branch plucked fresh from special trees such as hazel, witch-hazel, or willow. This rod is this held by the user who walks around a target area, awaiting a dip, incline, or twitch in the branch when the item for which the person is searching is just beneath them.

Lithomancy Gemstones

Lithomancy, the way to see the future by analyzing the way a specific set of stones or gemstones arranges themselves when dropped, is one of the oldest forms of divination. Countless cultures throughout history have been known to use it. It is so ancient that its definite origins have been lost to time, leaving historians clueless as to how it began, how the original technique was conducted, or how it evolved into the many methods we see today. Numerous ways to perform and interpret lithomancy exist, but they all need specific stones just for the act. Traditional sets in the most popular way include thirteen stones with six for major topics asked about by diviners (new, luck, magic, health, life, love) and seven for the primary signs of ancient astrology (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn). Newer sets like to include extra stones for the rest of the planets in our solar system.

Metatron is considered by some to be superior to most of the Angels, including Michael, Gabriel, and Uriel.

God attached thirty-six wings to his body, and gave him three hundred and sixty-five eyes, each as bright as the sun. His body turned into celestial fire -- flesh, veins, bones, hair, all metamorphosed to glorious flame. Sparks emanated from him, and storms, whirlwind, and thunder encircled his form.

Deeper study into the 8 of Swords

8 of Swords – Reconciling/Emotional
(9 of Air, 45=4+5=9)
Astrology: Mercury in Gemini
Time: 22 May – 31 May
(1st decan of Gemini)
3rd House, House of Communications (Brothers)
Numerology: 9
Fortune Telling with Playing Cards:
9 of Spades (9 of Air)

Quick-witted and eclectic, Mercury in Gemini may appear a bit scattered. They have a broad knowledge of many subjects… but not too much about any one subject. They learn fast, but because they have so many different interests it is difficult for them to concentrate on a single subject. They also get bored easily. Give Gemini Mercury a stimulating environment and they will be happy.
Speaking of their environment, Mercury in Gemini is very sensitive to what is going on around them. They are very impressionable. They tend to be restless and full of nervous energy. While they tend to be open-minded, logical answers appeal to them. Most of the time intuition is not part of their process. They may come across as too intellectual. Spock was probably a Gemini Mercury. They may appear to be emotionally detached when communicating.

At the same time, Mercury in Gemini can also make an interesting speaker. They are not attached to their own opinions or ideas like Aries Mercury. They adapt well, and are curious about everything. It isn’t too difficult to persuade them to change their minds. They can be talented at smooth talking, and may actually be a little deceptive, with a sense of humor. They like to spot weaknesses around them and play with them a bit just because they can.

Mercury in Gemini makes decisions quickly, and they usually turn out well. They enjoy working with language and are good on the phone. It is easy for them to communicate with anyone from all walks of life with ease. Eloquent and engaging, it is hard to be bored with a Gemini Mercury around!
It is difficult for them to shut out external stimulation, however, which can wear on them. They can get overwhelmed and frazzled. They may show signs of irritability or mental confusion. Taking some down time will help them overcome this problem.

Gemini Mercury is a natural witty flirt. Their clever chatting often keeps their partners enthralled. They love to take part in cultural events and enjoy new situations. Their minds are always spinning. They blossom in a stimulating, fast paced environment.

When bored, Gemini Mercury may stir up some trouble or controversy just to make things interesting. They like to play mind games, and are delighted when they find someone who can mentally spar back. They may tend to gossip. A natural at social gatherings, they flit from group to group like a butterfly. They are usually attractive and full of good humor. Mercury in Gemini likes to travel, read, talk and meet new people. They are the original jack of all trades, master of none model. Writing helps them focus better, and many may become journalists or freelance writers.

Mercury in Gemini makes a person fond of change and travel. He is always ready to investigate some new thing, or go to some other place for a change; in short, almost anything that is new appeals to him. At the same time if Mercury is well-fortified such people gain greatly by this fluidic state of the mind for they are shrewd and penetrating in their judgment so that they know good value when they see it and are not prejudiced by preconceived, set opinions. Therefore they are good business men and their ability to see a point makes them particularly good lawyers. They also succeed well as traveling salesmen.

3rd House, House of Communications (Brothers). Early education and childhood environment. Communication. Happiness. Intelligence. Achievements. Siblings. Neighborhood matters. Short, local travel, and transportation.

Mercury in the Third House and well-aspected has wonderful influence on the mental qualities of the native. It makes the mind serene and optimistic, inclined to study and research work. It gives fluency as a speaker and success by short journeys or travel and makes the relations of the person harmonious with his brothers. When Mercury is afflicted in the Third House it inclines to worry and pessimism, trouble and annoyance with sisters and brothers and when on short journeys.

The number 9 – Mercury, Reconciling/Mental (Air)

Positive traits:

– Heartily friendly and congenial, energetic, imaginative, a hail-fellow, clever, selflessness, rational, lucid, readily influenced to do good works, artistic and communication talents, good speaker, adaptable.

Negative traits:

– Superficial, self-adulation, lacking emotions, impulsive, restless, scattered interests, devious, gindecisive, careless with finances, cold and distant, wanting peer attention.

Crowley: Interference. The number Eight, Hod, here signifies lack of persistence in matters of the intellect and of contest. Good fortune, however, attends even these weakened efforts, thanks to the influence of Jupiter in Gemini, ruling the Decan. Yet the Will is constantly thwarted by accidental interference. The centre of the card is occupied by two long Swords pointed downward.
These are crossed by six small swords, three on each side. They remind one of weapons peculiar to their countries or their cults; we see here the Kriss, the Kukri, the Scramasax, the Dagger, the Machete and the Yataghan.

Waite: A woman, bound and hoodwinked, with the swords of the card about her. Yet it is rather a card of temporary durance than of irretrievable bondage.
Bad news, violent chagrin, crisis, censure, power in trammels, conflict, calumny; also sickness.
Reversed: Disquiet, difficulty, opposition, accident, treachery; what is unforeseen; fatality.

Deeper study in the 10 of Cups

10 of Cups – Active/Emotional
(5 of Water, 77=7+7=14=1+4=5)
Astrology: Pluto in Pisces
Time: 11 March – 20 March
(3rd decan of Pisces)
12th House, House of Self-Undoing (Prison)
Numerology: 5
Fortune Telling with Playing Cards:
5 of Hearts (5 of Water)

Pluto often has to do lessons related to power, death and renewal of life and when Pluto is here, these lessons are idealized. In the early 1800’s Napoleon followed his dream of building a new Roman Empire. In a sense this was a time of reliving the glory days of the past. Historians have since referred to this as the romantic period.

It is interesting that Pluto was in the 5th place from its own sign while in Pisces and that the 5th has to do with romance, but because this is a transpersonal planet, the “romance” was made impersonal. Individuals with Pluto in close aspect or conjunction to inner planets here will be very charismatic and powerful in their expression. Because Pluto’s sect nature is indeterminate, I will not speculate upon differences based on this.

12th House, House of Self-Undoing (Prison). Mysticism and mystery. Places of seclusion such as hospitals, prisons and institutions, including self-imposed imprisonments. Elusive, clandestine, secretive or unbeknownst matters. Privacy, retreat, reflection, and self-sacrifice.

Unconscious/subconscious. Unknown enemies.

You have a deep interest in secrets, the underworld or unconscious, and anything hidden and mysterious. Psychoanalysis, investigating your dreams, and other methods of uncovering secrets are very interesting to you. You may be exceptionally perceptive intuitively or psychically. Your emotions and subconscious energies are complex, and periodic transformations and personal crises are sprinkled liberally throughout your lifetime.

The number 5 – Pluto, Active/Emotional (Water)

Positive traits:

– Regeneration, spiritual, passionate, resourceful, expansiveness, new and visionary ideas, observant, versatile and ever-changing, catalyst for changes, dynamic, curious and exploring, promoting, resourceful in using freedom constructively.

Negative traits:

– Restless, discontent, vague, jealous, obsessive, suspicious, dissatisfaction, keeping secrets, lacking in application, manipulative, unyielding, arguments enjoined with silence or sarcasm.

Crowley
: Satiety. This card represents a conflicting element. On the one hand, it receives the influence of the Ten, Malkah the Virgin. The arrange ment of the cups is that of the Tree of Life. But, on the other hand, they are themselves unstable. They are tilted; they spill the water from the great Lotus which overhangs the whole system from one into the other.

The work proper to water is complete: and disturbance is due.

This comes from the influence of Mars in Pisces. Mars is the gross, violent and disruptive force which inevitably attacks every supposed perfection. His energy displays the greatest possible con trast with that of Pisces, which is both peaceful and spiritualized.

Waite: Appearance of Cups in a rainbow; it is contemplated in wonder and ecstacy by a man and woman below, evidently husband and wife. His right arm is about her; his left is raised upward; she raises her right arm. The two children dancing near them have not observed the prodigy but are happy after their own manner. There is a home-scene beyond.
Contentment, repose of the entire heart; the perfection of that state; also perfection of human love and friendship; if with several picture-cards, a person who is taking charge of the Querent’s interests; also the town, village or country inhabited by the Querent.

Reversed: Repose of the false heart, indignation, violence.

Deeper Study on the 8 of Wands

8 of Cups – Reconciling/Emotional
(6 of Water, 78=7+8=15=1+5=6)
Astrology: Neptune in Pisces
Time: 20 February – 28/29 February
(1st decan of Pisces)
12th House, House of Self-Undoing (Prison)
Numerology: 6
Fortune Telling with Playing Cards:
6 of Hearts (6 of Water)

With Neptune in its home in Pisces, we have the finest qualities of its energies at our disposal. Pisces tend to naturally have the ability to reach beyond the limits of the mundane and material existence. These shifts in times are usually crisis laden as change creates stress and fear mostly for those functioning at an ego and survival level, where those spiritually motivated find the awakening a welcome leap.

Neptune was sitting at the anaretic degree during its ingress on and off where this sense of a shift and transition we are in became very apparent with the push and speeding up to a new level of elevation.

Neptune in the Twelfth House, well aspected, brings success in research work of a scientific or occult nature which is carried on in secret or far from the haunts of men. It also indicates a secret soul-satisfying or clandestine but honorable relationship with someone which will bring benefit to both and it not infrequently happens that this friend is in the spirit world, but the relations is much more close in such cases than it can ever be between friends who are both in the physical body. When Neptune is afflicted in the Twelfth House it gives a liability to confinement and restraint in a public institution such as a hospital, asylum, or prison, on account of secret but powerful enemies, a chronic and noisome disease or insanity due to perverted practices.

The number 6 – Neptune, Reconciling/Emotional (Water)

Positive traits:

Compassionate, imaginative, engaged, sympathy for others, unselfishness, love of home and domestic affairs, devoted, adaptable, accepting, freely renders service to others.

Negative traits:

Self-righteousness, addict, oversensitive, indecisive, self-pitying, escapist, egotistical and susceptible to flattery, lazy.

Crowley: Indolence. The Eight, Hod, in the suit of Water, governs this card. It shows the influence of Mercury, but this is overpowered by the reference of the card to Saturn in Pisces. Pisces is calm but stagnant water; and Saturn deadens it completely. Water appears no longer as the Sea but as pools; and there is no florescence in this card as there was in the last. The Lotuses droop for lack of sun and rain, and the soil is poison to them; only two of the stems sliow blossoms at all. The cups are shallow, old and broken. They are arranged in three rows; of these the upper row of three is quite empty. Water trickles from the two flowers into the two central cups, and they drip into the two lowest without filling them. The background of the card shows pools, or lagoons, in very extensive country, incap able of cultivation; only disease and miasmatic poison can flourish in those vast Bad Lands.
The water is dark and muddy. On the horizon is a pallid, yellowish light, weighed down by leaden clouds of indigo.

Compare with the last card; it represents the opposite and complementary error. The one is the Garden of Kundry, the other the Palace of Klingsor.
In the psychopathology of The Path, this card is the German Measles of Christian Mysticism.

Waite: A man of dejected aspect is deserting the cups of his felicity, enterprise, undertaking or previous concern.

The card speaks for itself on the surface, but other readings are entirely antithetical–giving joy, mildness, timidity, honour, modesty. In practice, it is usually found that the card shews the decline of a matter, or that a matter which has been thought to be important is really of slight consequence–either for good or evil.
Reversed: Great joy, happiness, feasting.

Fortune Telling with Playing Cards:

6 of Hearts – A sudden wave of good luck. Someone takes care of you, takes warm interest in you.

Lecture: The Ten Sephiroth and the Tarot

According to the teachings of Mathers, Fortune, Crowley, and others, the cosmos is divided into ten fundamental archetypal essences; the ten sefirot (or “sephiroth”), which are organised in three pillars.

The Sefirot as understood in the Golden Dawn system are not so much attributes or structures of the body of God (only remnants of the original Jewish theology remained), as occult or psychic powers or archetypes, which were secondarily located within the human body.

Mathers also divided the Sefirot into three triads, which he called the “astral”, “moral”, and “intellectual”, the lowest sefirot meanwhile representing the physical world.

This system of ten sefirot and twenty-two paths is used as a stylised “map” of consciousness in ritual magic of the “Golden Dawn” tradition And while this form of Qabalah is certainly a workable magical system, it bears little similarity to the original Jewish metaphysic from which it was ultimately derived during the Renaissance.

Conception of Divinity

A primary concern of Hermetic Qabalah is the nature of divinity, its conception of which is quite markedly different from that presented in monotheistic religions; in particular there is not the strict separation between divinity and humankind which is seen in monotheisms. Hermetic Qabalah holds to the neoplatonic conception that the manifest universe, of which material creation is a part, arose as a series of emanations from the godhead.

These emanations arise out of three preliminary states that are considered to precede manifestation. The first is a state of complete nullity, known as Ain (אין “nothing”); the second state, considered a “concentration” of Ain, is Ain Suph (אין סוף “without limit, infinite”); the third state, caused by a “movement” of Ain Suph, is Ain Suph Aur (אין סוף אור “limitless light”), and it is from this initial brilliance that the first emanation of creation originates.

The emanations of creation arising from Ain Suph Aur are ten in number, and are called Sephiroth (סְפִירוֹת, singular Sephirah סְפִירָה, “enumeration”). These are conceptualised somewhat differently in Hermetic Qabalah to the way they are in Jewish Kabbalah.

From Ain Suph Aur crystallises Kether, the first sephirah of the Hermetic Qabalistic tree of life. From Kether emanate the rest of the sephirot in turn, viz. Kether (1), Chokhmah (2), Binah (3), Daath, Chesed (4), Geburah (5), Tiphareth (6), Netzach (7), Hod (8), Yesod (9), Malkuth (10). Daath is not assigned a number as it is considered part of Binah or a hidden sephirah.

Each sephirah is considered to be an emanation of the divine energy (often described as ‘the divine light’) which ever flows from the unmanifest, through Kether into manifestation. This flow of light is indicated by the lightning flash shown on diagrams of the sephirotic tree which passes through each sephirah in turn according to their enumerations.

Each sephirah is a nexus of divine energy and each has a number of attributions. These attributions enable the Qabalist to form a comprehension of each particular sephirah’s characteristics. This manner of applying many attributions to each sephirah is an exemplar of the diverse nature of Hermetic Qabalah. For example the sephirah Hod has the attributions of; Glory, perfect intelligence, the eights of the tarot deck, the planet Mercury, the Egyptian god Thoth, the archangel Michael, the Roman god Mercury and the alchemical element Mercury. The general principle involved is that the Qabalist will meditate on all these attributions and by this means acquire an understanding of the character of the sephirah including all its correspondences.

Lesson: APPLYING ASTROLOGICAL MEANING TO THE TAROT CARDS

The application of astrological meanings to Tarot decks derived from the Golden Dawn spiritual tradition is somewhat specialized and structured specifically towards the Tarot. It varies in some ways from the common meanings associated with astrological practice in the interpretation of Natal birth charts and should not be confused with Natal, Sun Sign, Horary or any other form of conventional astrology.

To attain a comprehensive understanding of the relationship of astrology to the Tarot, we must first build a foundation from which to proceed as we must first come to understand the meaning of the Ancient Elements, Planets and Signs as they apply to the Tarot.

As promulgated by the Order of the Golden Dawn, the Tarot system uses only the seven sacred planets of the ancients (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) and does not use the outer planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The outer planets have been grafted onto the decks by later interpreters but were not utilized by the Golden Dawn.

Lecture: Cards in the suit of Cups

  • Ace of Cups: Aces always indicate beginnings. Here the ace of cups indicates a new beginning of an emotional nature. It can signify the birth of a child, or the beginning of a love situation that affects us deeply. It is generally a card of happiness, and the beginning of many blessings. A new business, a relationship, success on the path is inevitable.
  • Two of Cups: Two of any suit indicates duality. Here it indicates two minds and hearts coming together and functioning as one. The card portrays a young man and a woman each bearing a cup, as if presenting it to one another. Above is the red lion of strength and courage.
  • Three of Cups: The three Graces dance and cavort, each maiden bearing a cup. It indicates a time of merriment and celebration.
  • Four of Cups: A young man sits under a tree. One thinks of Buddha under the bodhi tree, sitting cross-legged, but this youth is not serene. He seems dissatisfied with the three cups before him. A hand from a cloud offers him a fourth cup, but the youth shows no interest. It indicates a period of ennui and boredom, where nothing seems to be satisfying.
  • Five of Cups: A hooded figure with bowed head seems to mourn the 3 cups spilled before him. Behind the cloaked figure stand two cups, upright. The 5 of any suit can be considered difficult. Here it indicates hopes that have been dashed, or mourning over something that is lost. The hooded figure remains unaware of the two cups still standing behind—so the situation is not completely hopeless.

  • Seven of Cups: A young person sees seven cups among the clouds and visions therein. On one cup is the perfect lover or mate all people idealize. Another cup shows riches, another the cloaked soul of the querent about to be revealed, another castles. Other cups show a red dragon of inflamed passion and emotion, as well as a snake arising from another cup. The card is a caution against over idealizing your situation and getting your head lost among the clouds. Your dreams need a firm foundation in order to take root. Do not build castles in the air and fantasize without taking responsibility for your actions.
  • Eight of Cups: Eight cups are arranged in a row. A figure leaves these cups behind as if beginning a journey. An indifferent moon looks down upon the traveler. The traveler is in a good situation where there is much promise and much to offer, but chooses to set out for the unknown. It indicates a restlessness and wanderlust as well as overlooking the good we already possess, in the hopes of finding something else.
  • Nine of Cups: This is known as the "wish" card. A well fed, self-satisfied individual sits with nine cups behind. It indicates a table of plenty and getting everything you desire. It is the wish card, meaning your wish will come true.
  • Ten of Cups: A husband and wife join arms looking up at the rainbow over their house. Two young children dance. Ten cups are seen among the rainbow. It is a card of happiness, completion of all plans to your satisfaction, and a card of fulfillment and a sense of wholeness. A happy marriage and family life.
  • Page of Cups: A dreamy youth holds a cup from wherein a fish pokes its head. This indicates a versatile individual, one who have the gift of intuition and insight. The card indicates a youth with a love for the arts, poetry and music and may be very fond of dancing. It indicates ease in ones affairs as well as news of enjoyment and entertainment.
  • Knight of Cups: A young man on a horse with a winged helmet offers a cup. The card can indicate a sensitive male, unmarried, a suitor who seeks the hand of a lady. He is honest and truthful, as well as is heartfelt. It can also indicate a matter of an emotional nature that is occurring in the querent's life.
  • Queen of Cups: A queen on her throne at the seaside holds a cup she looks into. She sees visions within. It indicates a woman who has the gift of intuition and is able to offer good advice. She also may harbor a secret she is willing to share with you.
  • King of Cups: A king holding a scepter floats upon the water. It indicates someone who is kind, even tempered, balanced and wise. He may be a member of the clergy, or a counselor, professor or psychologist, doctor. He is a symbol of quiet strength and is calming and reassuring.

Sandalphon was the biblical prophet Elijah, who ascended at the end of his human life, just as Metratron did. Interestingly, Metatron presides over the entrance to the spheres of the Kabbalah’s Tree of Life, and Sandalphon presides over its exit. In Sandalphon’s human existence, Elijah was the one Jesus was compared to when he asked his disciples, “Who do the people say I am?” This may be because Elijah was said to be a precursor of the coming Messiah.

He then consoles the survivors and helps them heal from grief.Islamic theology holds that Azrael carries out God’s will for the souls of the deceased with profound reverence.
Azrael is sometimes confused with the similar-sounding name Azazael, who is considered a demon or fallen angel.

The Devil - Archangel Cassiel

Chamuel is one of the seven archangels of the 5th-century Pseudo-Dionysian teachings on the celestial hierarchy. He is sometimes confused with Samael, an “angel” who has dark and destructive leanings. The confusion likely stems from the similar sound of their names. But rest assured that Chamuel is entirely of God’s light.
In the Kabbalah, Chamuel (as Kamael) is the archangel of the Geburah, the fifth Sephirah (aspect of God) on the Tree of Life, denoting strength and courage through severity. Kabbalists consider Chamuel (Kamael) one of the Seraphim, which is the highest level of the choirs of angels.
As “he who sees God,” Chamuel has omniscient vision, and he sees the connection between everyone and everything.

Temperance – Archangel Gabrial

the Archangel Gabriel, "Mighty One of God". The messenger of dreams, announcements, prophecy, revelation and resurrection.

In the Kabbalah, Haniel presides over the seventh, or Netzach, Sephirah (emanation of God’s will). This sphere is related to victory and represents our inner world of intuition, imagination, and emotions.
The Netzach Sephirah marks the beginning of humans’ free will, and the expression of endurance and tenacity. It is the embodiment of earthly love. Archangel Haniel radiates inner qualities outwardly like the full moon. Mysterious and feminine, Haniel has been revered since the Babylonian era, which tied astronomy into religion.

The Sun – Archangel Uriel

Uriel's name means 'God is light' 'Gods light' or 'Fire of God' because he illuminates situations and gives prophetic information and warnings. He sheds love and light on everything and everyone. He illuminates the mind, allowing us to see past illusions like judgement and anger.
Uriel is the bringer of Divine light, and he is a powerful friend that will happily aid you with difficult relationships, like with co-workers, family and friends, and even with customer relations. Archangel Uriel can clear the mind of anger and ease the heart, allowing forgiveness to flow.

Judgment - Archangel Azrael

Azrael is the “angel of death,” in the most beautiful and healing sense of the word. This is a far cry from the morbid image of a grim reaper stealing people away. He then consoles the survivors and helps them heal from grief.Islamic theology holds that Azrael carries out God’s will for the souls of the deceased with profound reverence.
