Depending on the type of spell being worked, be it to curse, heal, harm or bind, various actions are performed on the poppet to cause a similar effect on the recipient. It can be pierced with pins, nails or other sharp objects to cause pain, cooled with water or heated with fire to cure a fever, or bound with cords to restrict movement.

To bind someone with a curse spell

Items needed:

1 lemon
1 black candle
9 nails
Cursing Oil
Picture of person (to be cursed)
Athame
Black bowl

Light the candle!

Cut a slit into the lemon.

Place the picture of the person inside the slit.

Take one if the nails and feel your anger rise. Visualize your anger.

Pierce the nail into the lemon.

Do the same for the remaining nails.

With each nail your anger should rise for this person getting blacker and blacker.

When you reach the last nail, place the lemon in the bowl.

Pour cursing oil onto the lemon filling the bowl until the lemon is half covered (with oil.)

Let the lemon rot in this bowl on your alter.

As the lemon rots, so too will the life and luck of the person!!

A practical guide to occult candle magic

1 One of the simplest of magical arts which comes under the heading of natural magic is candle burning. It is simple because it employs little ritual and few ceremonial artifacts. The theatrical props of candle magic can be purchased at any department store and its rituals can be practiced in any sitting room or bedroom.

2 Most of us have performed our first act of candle magic by the time we are two years old. Blowing out the tiny candles on our first birthday cake and making a wish is pure magic. This childhood custom is based on the three magical principals of concentration, will power and visualization. In simple terms, the child who wants his wish to come true has to concentrate (blow out the candles), visualize the end result (make a wish) and hope that it will come true( will power). 

3 The size and shape of the candles you use is unimportant, although highly decorative, extra large, or unusually shaped candles will not be suitable as these may create distractions when the magician wants to concentrate on the important work in hand. Most magicians prefer to use candles of standard or uniform size if possible. Those which are sold in different colors for domestic use are ideal. 

4 The candles you use for any type of magical use should be virgin, that is unused. Under no circumstances use a candle which has already adorned a dinner table or been used as a bedroom candle or night-light. There is a very good occult reason for not using anything but virgin materials in magic. Vibrations picked up by secondhand materials or equipment may disturb your workings and negate their effectiveness. 

5 Some magicians who are artistically inclined prefer to make their own candles for ritual and magical use. This is a very practical exercise because not only does it impregnate the candle with your own personal vibrations, but the mere act of making your own candle is magically potent. Specialist shops sell candle wax and molds together with wicks, perfumes, and other equipment. 

6 The hot wax is heated until liquid and then poured into the mold through which a suitably sized wick has already been threaded. The wax is then left to cool and once is this has occurred the mold is removed , leaving a perfectly formed candle. Special oil-soluble dyes and perfumes can be added to the wax before the cooling process is complete to provide suitable colors and scents for a particular magical ritual. Craft shops which sell candle making supplies can also provide do-it-yourself books explaining the technicalities of the art to the beginner. 

7 Once you have purchased or made your ritual candle it has to be oiled or 'dressed' before burning. The purpose of dressing the candle is to establish a psychic link between it and the magician through a primal sensory experience. By physically touching the candle during the dressing procedure, you are charging it with our own personal vibrations and also concentrating the desire of your magical act into the wax. The candle is becoming an extension of the magician's mental power and life energy. 

8 When you dress a candle for magical use, imagine that it is a psychic magnet with a North and a South pole. Rub the oil into the candle beginning at the top or North end and work downwards to the half-way point. Always brush in the same direction downwards. This process is then repeated by beginning at the bottom or south end and working up to the middle. 

9 The best type of oils to use for dressing candles are natural ones which can be obtained quite easily. Some occult suppliers will provide candle magic oils with exotic names. If the magician does not want to use these, he can select suitable oils or perfumes from his own sources. The oils soluble perfumes sold by craft shops for inclusion in candles can be recommended.

11 If you wanted to use candle magic for healing, you would select a red candle to burn. To pass an exam, burn a yellow candle, to gain esoteric knowledge burn a blue candle or for material gain, burn a purple one. It is obvious these colors relate to the signs of the zodiac and the planetary forces. 

12 The simplest form of candle magic is to write doesn't the objective of your ritual on a virgin piece of paper. You can use color paper which matches the candle. Write your petition on the paper using a magical alphabet, such as theban, enochian, malachain,etc. As you write down what you want to accomplish through candle magic-- a new job, healing for a friend, a change of residence, a new love affair, etc.-- visualize your dream coming true. Visualize the circumstances under which you might be offered a new job, imagine your employer telling you that your salary has been increased or conjure up a vision of your perfect love partner. 

13 When you have completed writing down your petitio, carefully fold up the paper in a deliberately slow fashion. Place the end of the folded paper in the candle flame and set light to it. As you do this concentrate once more on what you want from life. 

14 When you have completed your ritual, allow the candle to have completely burned away. You do not need to stay with the candle after the ritual, but make sure that is safe and that red-hot wax will not cause damage or fire. Never re-use a candle which has been lit in any magical ritual. IT should only be used in that ritual and then allowed to burn away or be disposed of afterwards. 

15 If you are conducting a magical ritual which involves two people (e.g. an absent healing for a person some distance away) then the second person can be symbolically represented during the ritual by another candle. /all you need to do is find out the subject's birth date and burn the appropriate candle for that zodiacal sign.

Candle Basics 101

Important pointers on choosing a candle:

Choose a plain candle, of uniform shape. Having unusual or large candles can be distracting and is therefore not suitable for magickal use. 

Candles used for magick should always be Virgin (unused) at the start of the ritual. Using secondhand candles or other materials in magick can have disastrous effects as they might have picked up vibrations from previous use, even if it was just on a dinner table! 

It is a very good idea to make your own candles if they are for magickal use. It will increase the magickal potency of the candle many times. 

It is very easy to make your own candles, simply heat the wax until liquid and pour it into a mould which is treaded with a wick. The wax should now be left to cool, after which the mould can be removed. Oils and colours can be added to the Wax for extra effects. 

Charge your candle before using it in ritual. This can be done by annointing it with oils associated with the ritual or magick you intend on performing, or by simply touching it and charging it with your own energy. 

Whilst charging the candle, visualixe the North and South Poles - rub the oil into the candle starting at either the North or South end and always brush in the same direction. 

The oils used in the annointing of your candle should where possible always be natural fragrances.

Blue is a color that generally looks good in almost any shade and it is a very popular color, especially among men. For your info, the color blue is my favorite color!

Light blue represents health, healing, tranquility, understanding and softness.

Dark blue is associated with knowledge, power, integrity and professionalism.

Brown - Used for the Physical Planes, as a combination of the colors Green and Red, Mars and Venus blended together as one. It is often used to separate, and also for grounding and stabilizing.

Brown is ruled by Pluto, the Lord of the Outer Spaces and The Dead.

The color brown is serious and very down to earth, with properties like stability, structure and support. The brown color stands for protection and supporting the family with great sense of duty and responsibility. 

Brown color meaning calls for high priority, a strong need for security, belonging to a family and having lots of good friends. Of color meanings, brown stands for material security and acquirement of material possessions.

Gold or light Yellow - This color attracts Cosmic influences and is beneficial used in rituals intended to bring fast luck and money. It is also used in rituals needing solar energy.

Green - Venus rules on an earthy level, and green can attract all the things ruled by Venus. Treasure, antiques, worldly possessions. Green is often used in conjunction with orange, Mercury candle - used to clear obstacles in the way of revealing hidden treasure.

In Candle Magic green is used for fertility, good fortune, generosity, money, wealth, success, renewal, marriage, healing cancer and helping with female problems.

Indigo - This is used in meditation and ritual which demands the energy of Saturn, such as deep meditation, balancing Karma, stopping gossip and astral projection.

Magenta - This has a very high vibration frequency and tends to work very fast. It is often used with other candles. General uses involve - quick changes, spiritual healing and exorcism.

Orange - Orange is ruled by Mercury, the divine messenger of the Gods. Orange works well when two people wish to have their telepathic senses opened together. Remember that Mercury is a trickster and when using this to "invade" another person, the trick could be on you!

This is excellent for job hunting, success, encouragement, adaptability, stimulation, attraction, sudden change, control, power to draw the good things in life and to change luck.

Pink - Pink is the romantic color, indicating love, affection, romance, spiritual awakening, healing of spirits and togetherness.

Candle magic is based on the same principle as that of color therapy. Different colors have different frequencies which, in turn, have different effects on the human psyche. We can use these effects in a positive manner to enhance our mind power. Likewise, some candles are also fragrant and the different fragrances can also reflect differently on one’s feelings and emotions. Therefore, through candle magic, practitioners can make use of varying fragrances and colors of candles to create different effects for their clients.

Witchcraft: Beginner's Guide to Candle Magic

Candle magic harnesses the power of fire to bring change. Fire is the Element of transformation. Think for a moment how fire transforms things: it melts wax. It renders many organic materials (leaves, wood, flesh and bone) to ash. It softens hard metals to make them malleable for forging. It can heat substances, turning them from liquid to gas (water to steam, for example). If you mix ingredients together and put them into the fire, it can transform your batter into cake, your dough into bread. It brings light to the darkness and warmth to the cold.

Since human beings discovered fire, they were in awe of its power. They sought to harness that power, mostly to use its power of transformation. We continue this ancient tradition when we practice candle magic.

If you’d like to learn candle magic, this guide will take you through it step-by-step. Remember: the moment you begin planning a spell, you are in the process of casting it. Always keep your good intentions and a positive attitude, because you’re pouring your energy into the goal.

Step 1: Determine Your Magical Goal

As with all magical workings, it’s very important to put thought into your goal. Some tips to keep in mind when setting a magical goal:
Be specific (no ‘wishing’ or ‘make things better’ type goals)
Be realistic (don’t venture into the realm of fantasy here)
Consider the ethics of your actions (always act ethically and don’t interfere with free will)
Use positive language (avoid words like ‘don’t’, ‘can’t’, ‘won’t’ and ‘not’)
Break bigger goals down into a series of smaller goals

Try to write your goal in a single sentence, such as ‘I need to earn extra money to pay the electric bill’ or ‘I want to be protected from harm when I travel’.

Step 2: Design Your Spell

Use your goal to help guide you in designing your candle magic spell. Let’s say I’m doing a money spell for the electric bill. I’m going to do the most basic candle magic spell: I’m going to visualize my goal and light the candle to release the energy.

I’ve decided to keep components simple and to a minimum: a taper candle in a holder, some oils to dress the candle, maybe a few herbs and spices to lend some power

Finally, I want a chant to help raise energy. I can use one of the many chants found online, or I can custom-design one. The only important thing about the chant is that it has meaning to me. I also personally like to use rhymes, because they’re easy to remember and to get into a rhythm.

If you use magical timing, you could check a lunar calendar to decide the best moon sign or planetary hour for your spell.

Step 3: Collect Your Components

Choose components aligned with your goal. For our money spell, we already designed the spell to use one candle, a holder, and some oils, herbs and spices to lend power. We want to find a candle in the color to correspond with our goal. We also want to use oils, herbs and spices that correspond to the goal.

Looking in my magical cabinet, I might find:

• A green virgin candle – candles should always be virgin, or never used, in candle magic. As for the color choice, use your instincts or see the *quick color correspondence guide below.
• A gold candle holder – gold also represents wealth (it’s not real gold, it’s just gold-colored, but it’ll do)
• Patchouli oil – an oil associated with prosperity
• Ground cinnamon – a spice associated with wealth
• Dragon’s blood – a resin that lends spells power
• Ground ginger – a spice used to speed up results

A good thing to ask yourself when choosing correspondences is, “What things do I associate with my goal?” Green reminds me of money and wealth; if gold or brown or red remind you of money and wealth, you could use those colors. If I didn't have essential oil, I might just use corn oil— corn reminds me of cash crops and prosperity. You might use olive oil-- it's expensive, so you might see it as a luxury item.

I use ginger because I have had success with it speeding up results of spells. Let’s say you hate Chinese food because it makes you sick, and the smell of ginger reminds you of that. Then ginger would not be a good correspondence for you, because you associate it with being sick.

Quick Color Correspondence Guide

Red - assertiveness, courage, creativity, energy, passionate love, sex

Orange  - ambition, concentration, eloquence, legal issues, intellectual pursuits, success

Yellow - attractiveness, clarity, happiness, intelligence, persuasiveness, travel

Green - growth, fertility, harmony, health, prosperity, wealth

Blue - dream work, healing, intuition, loyalty, peace, spirituality

Purple - connecting to the higher self, communing with higher beings, meditation, psychic abilities and development

White - all-purpose (can be a substitute for any other color), cleansing, purification, truth, reflecting energy

No list is written in stone. What's most important is what colors represent to you. This is just a general guide-- feel free to tweak it, expand on it, or toss it if it doesn't resonate with you.

Candle Magic: Dressing the Candle

This is one of the most important parts of doing candle magic. You have to establish a psychic link between the candle, you and your goal. The process for doing this is known as ‘dressing the candle’.

Dressing the candle requires the candle and some oil (whatever you’ve chosen based on your goal). You have to pour the oil on your hands and rub it on the candle. There are a lot of different opinions on the ‘proper way’ to rub the oil on the candle. Here are some variations:

• Rub the candle with oil from top to bottom
• Rub the candle with oil from bottom to top
• Rub from top to bottom to draw things to you; rub from bottom to tip to send things away
• Start at the center of the candle and with oil from center to top, then from center to bottom.
• Start at the ends of the candle. Rub oil on from the top end to the center, then from the bottom end to the center.

So which one is right? I think this is one of those things in which various methods work and you need to choose the one that works best for you.

The more important thing is your mental state as you rub the candle. As you rub the oil onto the candle, you should be strongly visualizing your intent and mentally ‘pouring’ that energy into the candle. You can use your chant at this point if you feel it will help and feel the energy building. Your hands may actually begin feeling tingly or the candle may begin to feel like it’s pulsing with energy—this is good, it’s working.

Do this for a couple of minutes, maybe 50 to 100 strokes, until you feel the candle is sufficiently charged. You can dress your candle well ahead of time if you like, or you can do it just before casting the spell. It’s up to you.

Candle Magic: Adding Power – Optional

We talked about using herbs and spices to help lend power to the spell, but how do we do that? It's pretty easy, really. After you choose herbs and spices that correspond with your goal, hold them in your hand and charge them with your intent. Roll the dressed candle in them, or sprinkle them over or around the candle.

Another way to add power is to scratch names, numbers or symbols in the wax of the candle. You can use a pin or your ritual knife to scratch things into the wax. For our money spell, I’ll scratch my name (to further connect myself to the candle) and I'll add the ancient rune FEHU into the wax-- FEHU is a rune that symbolizes prosperity.

If runes are meaningless to you, you might choose a different symbol, such as a dollar sign or money bag. Of course, you could always just write 'money' on it. That'll work, too.

Candle Magic: Casting the Spell

When the time has come to cast your spell, sit before your candle and follow these steps.

Meditate as long as necessary to relax yourself. Take a few deep breaths, release tension and let go of intrusive thoughts and worries. If you want, you can imagine these thoughts are helium-filled balloons, and visualize yourself letting go of them.

Begin to visualize your goal, as if your mission has already been accomplished.

Try to feel the feelings you would feel if your goal were accomplished—you probably would be happy, relaxed, relieved. Imagine what you’d look like, what your life would be, if your goal were accomplished.

When you have a clear visualization in mind, repeat your chant as often as you feel is necessary to raise energy. When you feel yourself bursting with your goal in mind, light the candle.

Imagine the candle’s aura—the light aura right outside of the flame – is growing, getting bigger and bigger, filling the whole area. Imagine it growing out, expanding into the universe to bring you your goal. You may continue chanting if you desire.

Spend some more time visualizing yourself having your goal. Hold the visualization as long as possible.

Candle Magic: Wrapping it Up

Allow the candle to burn out on its own. Make sure it’s in a safe place when you do this. It might go out before it’s finished, or it might completely melt away into nothing. It’s okay either way—don’t re-light it.

Bury the remnants and know that it’s done.

In the Grimoirium Verum, Agaliarept is purported to be one of two demons directly under Lucifer; Satanachia being the other. The Grimoirium Verum also states that Agalierept and Tarihimal are the rulers of Elelogap, who in turn governs matters connected with water. The Grand Grimoire holds that Agaliarept is a general with the power to uncover secrets and reveal mysteries, and commands the second legion (including Guer, Gusoyn, and Botis).

Asmodeus was of the order of Seraphim and he carries the title "King of the Demons." He governs the many realms of pleasure.

He prefers to be summoned bareheaded [without a hat or head covering] and he teaches the arts of astronomy, arithmetic, geomancy, and craftsmanship. He answers all questions, discovers and guards treasures and gives the ability to read the thoughts of others. He confers invisibility, and can break up marriages/relationships.

Asmodeus has a human Mother and his Father is a God. He has jet black hair with a braid down his back, and has an olive complexion. Asmodeus is extremely courteous and very much a gentleman. He is soft spoken with a smooth voice. Asmodeus is a very pleasant Demon.

FLERUTY

Adramelech is very tall with jet black hair. His hair is styled with bangs and to the shoulders as seen in many paintings in the Egyptian temples and pyramids. He has very piercing black eyes and an intense stare. He has fair skin.

ALASTOR

Alastor has short light blonde hair that is wispy. He has light bluish-grey eyes and looks very young. He has white wings and was clothed in white when I met him.

ANUBIS 

Anubis is also known as the Goetic Demon "Ipos"
Anubis is a giant. He appears to be between eight feet tall and is very well built. He has straight blonde hair to below his ears and tanned skin. Anubis is the jackal-headed God of the Dead. He assists in matters of the dead. He presides over funerals and can be summoned to protect anyone who has been recently deceased. He is a protector and guide for the souls of the dead.

DAGON

Dagon is also known as the GOETIC DEMON "ZAGAN"
Dagon was a God of the Philistines. He is very large like Anubis. He is built like a body builder. He has straight blonde hair, a small mouth with thin lips and bluish-grey piercing eyes. He is a God of agriculture, farming, and fertility. He is the patron of farmers and agriculturalists. There is evidence that he was also worshipped in the Far East in Myanmar/Burma.

HORUS
Horus is also known as the Goetic Demon "Purson"
He is very fair. He resembles Amon Ra, only he has softer features. He is attended by four other Demons. He is highly respected among the Demons and is very high ranking. Very youthful looking, Horus can light up the entire room with his energy when he appears.



MAMMON [ZEUS]

”Mammon" is not his real name. "Mammon" is a Hebrew word for money and nothing more. How this name was applied to a Demon/God was through misinterpretation and ignorance. We found in our workings with the Demons, the Greek God Zeus answers to "Mammon."
Zeus has short platinum blonde hair with waves and very light bluish-grey eyes. He wears a laurel crown, a white toga and is built stocky.



MASTEMA
Mastema is an important Demoness from Ancient Egypt. She rules over and is an expert with black magick and sorcery. She has beautiful long blonde shining hair, full of curls and wings of pure gold.



MORAX

Nephthys is the Goetic Demoness "Bathin" and is also known as "Nebthet"
Nephthys is the Wife of Set. Like Thoth and Seshat, they often appear together. When Nephthys appears, she is attended by Guardian Demons. She is largely built with lots of long curly blonde hair. Nephthys is very friendly and talkative. She is skilled in magick, knows words of power, and is a healing Goddess. She is also a Goddess of death and like her husband, Set; of Darkness.



NERGAL aka HADES aka PLUTO
Nergal is one of the 7 sons of Satan and is the ruler of the Underworld. His wife is Erishkegal. He has power over the dead.

SCIRLIN
Scirlin is the one of the messengers of Hell and can be of assistance in summoning other Demons. He represents the authority of Lucifer.


SEKHET
Sekhet is also known as “Sekhmet,” “Sechmet,” “Sekhait,” “Sekhautet,” “Sekhem” and “Sakhmis”
Sekhet is a Lion Goddess and is known for her power. She is a warrior and honored Goddess of war and battle.
She has long black wings with red stripes. She has very dark skin and blonde hair with ringlets. She has a deep and powerful voice.


SESHAT
Seshat is also known as "Sefkhet-Aabut" and "Sesheta"
Seshat is extremely fair with long light blonde hair with rings of curls. She is extremely beautiful and is the wife of Thoth. She accompanies him and assists him in many projects. She is the Egyptian Goddess of Intellect and is a scribe like her husband. She is the Goddess of Literature and Libraries. She ruled over all of the ancient libraries in Egypt. There are times she fills in for Thoth when he is busy. Those of us who have worked with Thoth and Seshat see them together or sometimes Seshat will come to us in place of her husband who is always extremely busy. Thoth is about the busiest of all the Demons.



SET
Set is also known as the Goetic Demon "SITRI,"** Seth, Sethi, Sit, Sut, Sutekh. Set is the Egyptian Lord of Darkness. He is one of the 7 sons of Satan. BR>He has a dark complexion and jet-black hair. When I performed energy work on him, at first he had rubbery dark brown wings. When he was freed, they bolted into beautiful soft black feathery wings like a raven. He wears a long black satin robe. He was very kind, soft spoken and left me with a strong energetic feeling of peace. He has beautiful energy. Set's Wife is the Goddess Nephthys. They can sometimes appear together.



SORATH
Sorath is a God of the Sun. He is said to have been Adolf Hitler's Personal Guardian Demon.
Sorath rules the current of energy that deals with the "id", of the human psyche, altered states of consciousness, thought-forms, elementals, the unexplained, unexpected, and the unknown and miracles. Sorath is "The Closer", while Azazel is "The Opener". Sorath The Great God does not like everybody for he is the embodiment of the everlasting black burning Sun alit as night to an everlasting day. His number is seven, and he presides over the Thirteenth Sign of the Zodiac of which there exists only one, and his time is any when the Moon is void of course. He Rules from the North.
The mind is very tricky, especially the part we magicians use. The god portion of the mind can do absolutely anything. Satan trusts his own, and no one else with this power. It will not activate for anyone, and if it does it will do so as a terrifying lesson to those who are without who attempt to harness this power. Sorath presides over the “closer part,” the "unknowable mind" current of energy and is the God over the energy emitted by every Sun in the Universe. He rules the center of magnetism and the factor of life for all, along with photogenes and solar power of all kinds. Sorath stated that all Suns in the Universe affect us, not only our own.
